Home Skillet Black IPA at Oskar Blues Tasty Weasel. A style I haven't had in a spell that faded into obscurity. This is a strange one smelling like burnt pancakes with cheap maple syrup. The taste is just the same with a hint of earthy floral in the finish. While not terrible I see myself struggling with a pint. There's just too much going on for me. I took one for the team with 100% of the sales today going to help the family of a decreased friend of the brewery.

Another old world / new world matchup. Andechs Vollbier Hell vs Schilling Paulus Helles. Both tip the scales at 4.8% abv. Andechs is slightly lighter and clearer. Andechs has aroma of grain (homebrewers who mill their own know this smell) while Schilling is has a slightly more sweet aroma. Taste follows the nose, with a slightly more grainy flavor with the Andechs. Paulus has a slightly fuller mouthfeel, but is very drinkable. While I very slightly prefer Andechs (perhaps more if I could get it as fresh?) I think these two are very evenly matched.

Spent my morning driving around delivering girl scout cookies to coworkers. So interesting to see them after nearly a whole fucking year of working from home.

Rye Times, a hazy rye IPA from Fremont. Pretty nice, interesting juxtaposition of tropical fruit and rye grain.

The first time I had this beer was in a bottle with the OG label prior to the reboot. Yes, I'm an old man. Not really. I'm just an OG IPA drinker. Get off my lawn!!! Haha. Peace...

The skies cleared up, the snow is melting, errands done, and now it’s time to enjoy a Trees of Green DIPA from Conclave, one of my favorite NJ breweries. Cheers!

It's also a pretty good album. Check it out, although I don't picture you enjoying a beer while listening to hip-hop. Your wife would probably think you've gone mad. Haha! I love you.

Technically not violating my own no-crossover-post from NBW because I'm on my 2nd can! But I should have taken the imitative to take a new photo. Oh well.
Pineapple aroma blast with a West Coast taste. Loving it so much I'm leaving other tempting beers in the fridge.

It's great to have a beer outdoors for a change. Citra and Motueka is a great combination and Untied Brewing has brought out their best in this NEIPA. I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Have a great Saturday, everyone!

Foam x Equilibrium - Cojito DIPA (with lime, mint and coconut)

I would have loved if this beer was in regular production/rotation. It's just so tasty.
