    Amazon has banned six Dr. Seuss titles, but I can buy all the copies of Mein Kamph I want. So, how are you enjoying the new normal?

    So, just walked the dog. The hotel I'm staying at has a bank directly across the street, as well as a defunct pub/saloon/night spot. Cop cars adorned the outer perimeter of the bank, and some were scattered right in front of the hotel. No lie. Maybe they heard I had Heady in my hotel room. Maryland, I can't say that I blame you. Pickings are slim here. @jeffgott, nothing but love. Advocates, more of the same, I promise. Cheers!!!

    He's a chiweenie. My daughter was fixated on getting a chihuahua some years back, and he is the result. We rescued him as a stray who was walking the mean streets of Georgia. Haha. They shipped him up to CT, and the rest was history. She named him Jeter, as in El Capitan aka Derek Jeter. I didn't argue. I love this little dude. All 9.5 lbs of him. He's 5 and half years old now. Loyal to the soil.

    TGIF BA's! It's 65 degrees and beautiful here this afternoon in North GA. Great weekend for starting yard project. Going to be prepping to lay some sod. Take care of a drainage issue in the backyard. Starting my weekend with a local American Pale Ale - Akademia Brewing Co. G.P.A. 5.5% ABV. Hop forward with citrus and bit of resinous pine. Moderate bitterness. A little soft on the palate. Nice start to the weekend. Cheers!

    Here's a random tidbit. The 7th season (much maligned) of Gilmore Girls referenced Kundera. I always thought that was cool. Also, couldn't agree more.

    look: 3.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

    Beautiful amber body, bright and clear; fantastic carbonation; initially thick, foamy head then a rapid decline in height. Nice malt nose with a rich sweetness; mild caramel and toffee. The taste follows along with the smell; grainy; earthy sweetness coupled with a moderate hop bitterness. Medium body; slightly fizzy; a bit prickly on the palate.

    This is an interesting beer, perhaps a little rough in the mouthfeel for a lager, but delivering some great flavor with its decoction mash heritage.

    Beer no. 2 is another one of those underappreciated styles - Amber Lager. This one is made by one of the best Lager breweries in the southeast Arches Brewing in Atlanta. A simple, well balanced easy drinking lager. Floral and spicy with hops. Bread and caramel with the malts. 5.4% ABV. These aren't the most exciting beers in the world, but boy do they drink well. Cheers!

    Dr. Seuss banned by Mein Kamph okay? I think I have entered an alternate universe. My wife works at an elementary school. They've had Dr. Seuss Day for years there. No one's ever had an issue with it. Didn't this week either btw.

    Alaskan Citrus Wheat. I know it says it's unfiltered, but I've never seen so much shit floating in my beer. I'll drink the rest from the can. Best by date 5/22/21. Tasty, but nothing to look at.
