This howitzer of a DIPA from my local is sneaky - it’s imminently poundable with the Citra hop and orange blossom honey, so you can hammer through a pint quickly.

And then the 9% ABV lets you know you should proceed with caution. Absolutely love it.

Listening to The Plugs I Met 2 from Benny the Butcher. I always do my diligence. That's what you call a hip-hop head. Most times, I'd rather listen to love songs. Haha! I love you. Cheers!!!

Jai Alai on the pool deck, everything is pollen covered, yellow and slimy. I see a bunch of pressure cleaning in my future, near 90 and sunny Thurs-Sun.

Central Waters Pecan Kringle BBA Imperial Pastry Stout, 12.3% ABV. One of my favorites, literally a pastry stout, yet not overly sweet.

#2, it should be a felony to make a beer this good. IJS.

I wasn't planning on going to South Dakota today, all I knew is that I needed a road trip. 3 hours later, I was in Brookings, and here's something i bought there.

Twin Bing Stout from Fernson Brewing Company - 8.8% ABV.

Pours a nice dark brown color. 3 finger fluffy looking tan head. There's some decent retention, but no lacing on the glass.
The nose has a slight chocolate and cherry aroma. Pretty faint.
Taste - Chocolate comes on first, but not too strong. It then turs full on rasberry and cherry on the back, that hit hard.
The body is ok, maybe a bit thinner than I was expecting from the pour.
    Tasty, and interesting beer.

Actually, I am not sure. I do not drink a lot of them so nothing comes to mind. Here in Virginia, Legends, Lickinghole Creek, Starr Hill, and Wild Wolf brew decent pilsners.

Switched over to our Irish Red Ale we brewed some time back. This one is maturing nicely in the keg. Cheers!

Destination Unknown Brewing Co. -- Abuse of Stout (imperial stout)

Dark brown body; very foamy, soapy head that collapses into a thin layer atop the beer. Huge nose of fresh orange and coriander with chocolate fudge and brownies. The taste mirrors the aroma to a somewhat lesser degree; a touch of bitterness; boozy quality lurking in the background. Heavy body yet seems thin for the style; nice residual sugar presence; a bit of alcohol warmth cutting through the sweetness.

The orange and dark chocolate presence in this beer is phenomenal. The looks suffer from a weak head plus the mouthfeel just feels a tad lacking, too. But in the grand scheme of things, this is a mighty and fine tasting stout.

...woke up to 4-5 inches of snow on a lawn on this third day of Spring along the Front Range...a good bit has melted away by this late afternoon, but it still qualifies as a stout day to me...
