I've only read one FM book - 'The Road', and that was nearly in one sitting while visiting Santa Fe, NM years ago...perhaps I should check out some other samples of his work...

Hmm...not sure I have heard of that, only Cormac McCarthy's The Road...

McCourt always writes memoirs about Irish immigrants, his brother did to, and was actually a Green Party candidate for NY Mayor, and a TV actor. Though his writing is completely awful

No no, I do that all the time, and The Road could be the name of any book. I can talk your ear off on McCarthy if you want ha. The Road is interesting, but not close to one of my favorites. Blood Meridian is one of those transcendent novels that everyone needs to read. Actually, everyone needs to read that and Larry McMurtry's (man the Mc names can get confusing ha) Lonesome Dove back to back, in order to understand the true gritty western revival in the 80's.

Let alone The Boarder Trilogy and No Country for Old Men...oh, wait Child of God holly crap, this man...I just can't write coherently about him ha.

Edit, wait, no I'm confused are we talking about Unemployment scams or writers with the surname that stars with Mc

Stone Enjoy by 4-20-2021....super fresh and tasty. Per their website the first hazy version ever. I'll rate on beer #2 or #3, gut says 4.1 range.

No Country For Old Men seems apt to me at this time...love the movie (haven't read the book), don't understand much about any deep levels of the story...I was young once...perhaps in those days things would cohere more so than now...christ, I feel like I'm turning into @vabeerguy...:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Shawarma came out great. I love that stuff. And the beer isnt too shabby either. For you Western Ma BA"s if youre ever in Worcester do yourself a favor and check out Bahnans on Pleasant St. Awesome people and a world class Middle Eastern Mkt. The cafe next door does fresh salads and incredible Shawarma- the old school traditional way, layered on the spit with marinade and chix fat. So good, maybe the best Ive had. And Ive had it alot. Cheers![IMG] [IMG]

    Hell yes.

Now I’m thinking homemade (chef made) pita, hummus and tabouleh, but that just might be the beer talking.
