Batting second today Is Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale. It's a world classic and the exemplar of it's style. Caramel, brown bread and a whole lot of awesomeness.

I played golf yesterday. Fifty and sunny when we teed off mid-morning. As we started the back nine, the clouds and wind came in. By the 17th hole it was cloudy, windy, and 40 degrees. Plus it looked like some precipitation was getting ready to move in. As we teed off on the final hole it began to hail. We all wanted to be able to say we played in a hail storm, so we finished the hole as quickly as we could.
Today it's sunny, no wind. The dogs have had a good walk. I am drinking a nice IPA.
    Cheers!

Good day Advocates. My latest piece of fitness equipment. Yes, it is a [IMG] [IMG] water container. The idea is to not fill it completely (I have 25 pounds in there now) so that the water sloshes around when you move it. With one hand on the handle and one on the bottom you can shake it vigorously back and forth, up and down or out and in. The moving water activates your stabilizer muscles and it’s also great for the core.

Sitting outdoors with a beer and some tunes. Cheers.

Having a 'la-goo-KNEE-tuss' Hazy Wonder IPA.
First time I have seen this one, and in a supermarket too.
    Cheers!

Window is a bit rotten outside. Probably because this is a sea-side hotel. Inside the place is fine. In case anyone would wonder.

In my glass now is Velvet Crush an Experimental India Pale Ale from Neshaminy Creek. It's a 5.5% Black IPA. All I can say is that they had the balls to try an experiment. As far as a beer goes, it has some vague, sweet malts but not much else going on. I rated it 3.51. They can't all be winners.

Bud with lunch . . . I did pick up some PBR yesterday but neglected to put them in the fridge. I really must be more attentive to my duties.

A nice box like that is like a beer-cation from home.
Great timing. As far as I know lock-down and curfew is rather tight in France (like here).
I was wondering; could that 'lacking something' be because the tripel is canned ? I'm a nitwit on the details, but I noticed some recently canned Belgians are missing something too compared to their bottled versions.
    Cheers!

The wife is up and out of the bed, and again, she has inserted herself into my project, telling me how she would do it...Adroit Theory’s “Eat The Rich”, no pun intended, RIS clocking in at 12% abv:

I like this beer! The garage is coming along, as is moving stuff into the new shed, framed art out of the spare bedroom temporarily into the garage, and, oh yeah, tweaking the garden in the back and front yards...I’m not sure that 12% is enough to tide me over until my next dose... Cheers y’all!

I’m sensing a big garden season coming up, as the garden centres already have in large supplies of dirt and mulch despite the fact that no veg/herbs/chili’s go in the ground/pots for at least another six weeks here. We have thirty one pots of different sizes and I’d like to round up half a dozen more large ones as we want to go big this year.

Beer number two as I enjoy what is apparently a record temperature for this date where I live. Cheers. [IMG]

Lockdowns and curfews are beginning to be a pain here indeed. So I allowed myself a home beercation thanks to @superspak

I don’t think it’s because this beer and tripel is canned, although I’ve never had a canned Belgian tripel. You see, Westmalle or Karmeliet or others have this Trappist yeast making their Tripel incredibly well balanced between their bitterness and flavorful aromas.

This beer in the original post was only a bit too sweet, still a good one as I said.

Which tripel have you had in can? Cheers!

Home early, relaxing with a DDH Riot Vermont from Prison City Brewing in Auburn, NY. Heard about these folks on "Brewed in NY," a PBS series about the beers of the various regions of the Great State of New York. Auburn is the home of the Auburn Correctional Facility, hence the name...and, man, do they make a nice NEIPA. Distinct, easy drinking, and, as such, reminded me of Heddy Topper. Cue the music:

Delicious: the beer and, well, Elvis' voice. Stay Safe, Rock around the Clock, and Sláinte!

Not a Tripel but Delirium Tremens tastes different out of the can. I vaguely remember reading they can it somewhere other than the brewery and may use a different hop.
