It’s Voodoo Ranger time in honor of @scream

 

This used to be my favorite IPA, I couldn’t tell you what my favorite of any style is now.

Left work early, got my hair cut, and stopped at Iron & Glass, where I drank an Abraxas while shopping.

Having this now, since they’re finally back in Illinois!

 

Hot and sour is how I test a new Chinese restaurant. Like a plain cheese pie for a new pizza parlor. If you can’t do the basics...

 

Took a break for a few days. Weihenstephaner welcomed me back.

 

Home with a Jai Alai, off the next three days and heading to Tampa for two nights. If I happen to stumble into some other BA over there I'm sure a pic will follow.

Doubling back with my last beer because it’s new, still a novelty and fantastic. Have a couple of beer deliveries coming and will make one more quick run to the LCBO first thing tomorrow before shutting things down for a while in terms of stores, etc. The cases in my city quadrupled today over yesterday, so it seems the variants have creeped in, probably from the GTA. Cheers.

Home earlier than expected, so cracked open a Riot in '29, a NEIPA from Prison City Brewing in Auburn, NY, the home of the Auburn (State) Correctional Facility there. The name evidently alludes to an actual riot there on July 28,1929. Brought to mind Fats Waller, one of the greats:

There was this Vietnamese restaurant by me that made the best hot and sour soup.

 

New Belgium Wild Ride IPA. Not bad at all. I like it better than most of their hoppy options

Smoked Beer. This beer smells amazing. The beer taste is exactly how it smells.
Smells and taste like a old smoke house.
Reminds me of a Greenfield village visit in the 80s and a centennial house smoking meats people dressed in 1700s garb.

 

Last NN and still tasting great. Really enjoyed reading all of the posts about @scream. He was one of us and sounded like an even better family man. Cheers!
