Time for another one. This one was a bit better. I typically don't buy their beers for personal reasons.

Second new beer, still recovering from the first. I’ve become a lightweight the past few years with the heavy hitters. This is more chill.

    Revolution Coconut Eugene

    Brewer Notes:
Starting with our velvety robust porter, we simply added toasted unsweetened coconut at the rate of 12.5 pounds per beer barrel. There’s no escaping it.

Along with intense chocolate and subtle caramel and toastiness present from Belgian specialty malts, you’ll find layers of coconut before you take a sip, especially while you take a sip, and possibly even after you take a sip.
    6.8% ABV 28 IBU.

Appearance: Very dark brown to black base, creamy light tan head, leaves generous razor thin lacing on the glass and atop the base. 4.0

    Aroma:
Very strong coconut leads, pleasant and enticing. Get a trace of the malt, but coconut obliterates all other aromas. 4.25

    Taste:
Consistent with the aroma. Coconut strong and pleasant, malt base comes through consistent with the base beer, toast malt light milk chocolate. Hops keeps the sweetness in check, all works well together. As a coconut fan, really love this variant. 4.50

    Mouthfeel:
Medium body fizzy carbonation throughout, lightly creamy, balanced well, sweetness held in check. Easy clean finish and drinking. 4.25

    Overall:
Another strong variant to the base Porter, coconut aroma comes out blazing aroma wise but well incorporated into the overall pour. Malt base comes through well, hops keeps it all in check. Well done as always Revolution! 4.25

Yeah, I know. It's not KC Bier Co. beer (bummer!!!) but this Kolsch is from Lawrenceville, GA brewery Ironshield and it's a fine one. I really love this trend of breweries in the U.S. making thes classic styles. Why should Europe enjoy all the world's best beers! This one has a bit of a grassy note initially and hits all the style check boxes well. Perfectly balanced. Cheers folks!

Was doing well for quite a while not letting the beer fridge get too full. A few recent purchases and deliveries has screwed up all that good work. So, time to correct things again.

This might be the near opposite of the style that is in abundance in said fridge (Dopplebock), but I didn’t want to jump right into the deep end today.

That beats me, after my second shot I was down for 24 hours. Took 10-12 hours
for the side effects to kick in. I'm 2 weeks out now.
