One cannot live on Stacks on Stacks on bocks alone. Sometimes you need to satisfy the Other Half of your palate...

Of the recent new school, NE IPAs from new brewers to my area, this is the best. Wrench was underwhelming and The Shining from Foam was decent. But this one has some of the fruit notes with but does a little more than just dip its toe in the bitterness pool.

Grabbed a 6 pack of Peebers in my way back from grabbing this absolute unit of a grandfather clock. It’s almost 7 feet tall and hand made. This clock plus two tall lamps for $10??!! Come on bro. I had to.

    cheers.

    Good day friends!
After THIS I'll have my lone urbock!
Canned 2/01/21 this Badger Snack PBStout has a nice baking chocolate bitterness to start, figs, dark toasty caramel that's not too sweet mixed with fluffy PNut Butter. For a 6.3%abv the mouth feel is not too heavy and it has a semi-dry finish. The blend lingers. Really nice beers comin' outa this brewery.
    Excellent! Cheers everyone!:beers:

Really good collab between Western Collective, and Georgetown

From Western's site: This massive IPA is double dry-hopped with two pairs of hops chosen by each brewing team. Amarillo is paired with Azacca and Simcoe paired with Strata for intense notes of grapefruit, resinous pine and tropical dank.

Cross post from the Online Tasting Bocks thread:

As we use to say in the old LNBA threads, when the individual responses would go all the way to the right, leaving a big black bar getting larger and larger on the left....VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTUUUUUUUUSSSSSS

    Double the Vitus this time.

Pours a cloudy but not completely opaque golden/yellow. A dense white head forms and lasts forever. Plenty of lace left down the glass as well.

Nose and taste are similar: Fresh baked banana bread, biscuits, clove like peppery spice. Just an incredible malt and yeast balance.

A medium to full body. With a quick snap of carbonation up front, which later becomes ultra smooth and silky.

Dangerously drinkable, and downed in big gulps. I have always thought this was just superlative. Looking back at my review from 2008, the score is 4.65. Easily one of my top rated beers, and I would still completely agree with that.

Now to enjoy it, while finishing my Chang-Rae Lee novel The Surrendered. Which is stunning as well, I have his most recent novel coming up after this, hoping to start it sometime tomorrow.

Finally got my hands on a sixer of this and instantly kicking myself for not getting a second. Delicious. Straw, cracker, lemon rind bitterness into a nice snappy, dry finish. Fantastic.

The first beer today is a Malt Liquor, though listed here as a Maibock.
The brewer lists this beer as a Dopplebock, though the sweet bourbon barrel obliterates any semblance of the base beer.

Chicago tie in to this song/album, Phil Collins not admitted into the Pump Room with Robert Plant wearing a Leather instead of a suit jacket.

No Chicago connection, but a solid under the radar song from 36 years ago.

The Mariners have a 4-0 lead over the Sawx, and I'm finishing up a Ferment Brewing Kolsch, a pretty nice take on the style.
