You and me both! I remember getting Caps $5 tickets in the nineties to watch the Dale Hunter brawl-a-thons, those days are gone, now I need to shell out a hundred big ones for the nose bleed section...

I'm not much of a sports fan, but of all the teams on the planet I hate the Bears the most. That made purchase of this beer, featuring an ex Chicago Bear, a somewhat difficult decision to purchase. If it were any other style other than my favorite, I would not have touched it. However, it is, and I'm glad I took the plunge.

Tighthead Brewing's Longsnapper



Long story short, this is one of the few Midwest brewers I've come across to have nailed this style. Heavy on the pine, citrus and dry bitterness, malt there but complementing, not muscling in on the action. Beer Down!!!

It was a somewhat difficult decision to like a post when a Chicago guys says he hates the Bears...I mean the Packers, St Louis Cardinals, and Lions and Vikings are all much easier to hate

Now a Tryptich Loreni Pale Lager. Don't want this day to end. Especially because I just learned I'm mowing another lawn tomorrow from the wife, my daughter's.

 

Hard for me to hate the Lions. If you’re history is worse than that of the Browns, then you should be hated by no one… with the possible exception of the local fans who suffer year after year.

 

Viking Artisan Ales Guava Hard Candy Berliner. Had no idea guava hard candy even existed until I came across this beer, but apparently it’s a popular candy in Asia. Guava isn’t a staple fruit flavor over here in the states, but it should be based on how good this beer is. Guava candy sweetness is balanced nicely by a firmly tart base berliner.

 

Ha true, and really, if I'm honest I only really truly hate the St. Louis Cardinals. Even the Packers I don't totally hate, just whenever they play the Bears ha. The rest is just long time regional fandom rivalries, which actually only make it more interesting for me

 

Never said he was ready. Love probably isn't ready yet. Packers did it right with Favre and Rodgers years ago, pretty sure they'd do it right again, but Rogers doesn't seem interested in mentoring his successor.
