    Goat Patch Brewing Co. -- Baltic Porter

    Dark brown body topped with a thick and frothy light brown head. Fine, malty aroma; a nice balancing act between toasted and roasted grain smell; cocoa; a touch of smokiness. Excellent deep malt sweetness with a dollop of charred grain and hop bitterness; milk chocolate; thin vein of booziness coursing through the malt sweetness. Heavy body; generally smooth on the palate; alcohol heat simmering throughout.

    The ABV with this Baltic porter is certainly a bit over the BA Baltic porter style guidelines. Personally, the high alcohol content and presence is okay. It would certainly appeal to fans of barrel aging. Overall, a tasty and potent dark lager.

    Served at 53° F from a crowler poured and acquired an hour ago at the brewery. The beer was tapped five days ago (May 07th, 2021).

    Working from home today and finished more or less on time. Relaxing now with a Dream in Green from Other Half Brewing Company in Brooklyn, NY (my birthplace). I gravitate toward the fruity, juicier IPAs, but, I have to say, were more of the "green" IPAs like this one, I could see myself switching it up a bit (Don't judge!).

    At Bull n Bear Brewing, drinking Iron Condor a 7% “traditional English IPA” according to the brewery. It is very different than any other IPA I’ve had recently. Looks like I have a beer for New Beer weekend Excellent brew.

    Pretty disappointed with this after paying through the nose for this four pack. Had to try "Zero F**ks Given" as I've never seen this brewery here before. A little confused by the high marks here.

    Transferring using Excel, I'm into the fifth and final beer journal (2008 to present).
    At #1044 "BEERS I'VE HAD LIST"
    Probly about 6-700 more bottles of beer on the never ending wall...
