Great bitter citrus and tropical fruit flavors! It’s starting to get steamy here, and I have the last 1/3rd (heaviest - boxes of books) to unload. I may need more beer...

Goose Island Sox Golden Ale, brought to you by the fact my Cubbies blue electric mower needs a recharge before I can finish up my mowing. Go Sox! I call it my 3/4 lawn break.

My condolences to your family. Especially the Mrs., for losing not only the person who raised and loved her, but also became her best friend.

Watching the Mighty Ducks movie with the kids to keep their minds off things. Saw this flick a million times working at Blockbuster in the early 90s.

Hop Butcher/Toppling Goliath Perceptor IPA (Mosaic/Motueka). Drinks above it’s weight class at 5.5%. Juicy, yet clean and dry. Blueberry skin, key lime sorbet, lemon zest, pink grapefruit, cannabis dankness. Forget their doubles, Hop Butcher’s low abv beers are where it’s at.

An okay beer that I have a hard time believing is ranked the #1 Red Irish Ale on this site.

    Dugges Big Barrel Licorice Idjit...
Bourbon barrel licorice stout, 11.2% abv and absolutely delicious - assuming you like the combination of licorice and bourbon in a full-bodied chocolaty stout oozing with molasses and medicine... Totally diggin' it...

    Earlier tried their Cola...
4.5% abv sour brewed with coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon, lime, and vanilla... This one was a miss for me - looked like cola on the pour, but the sour tang overpowered all nuance for me and left an unpleasant lactic aftertaste - I didn't finish it...

Didn't post yesterday, but had a pair of Another One (5/4 bottling)...
    [IMG] [IMG]
I've been inclined to pick this up whenever they get it in - an IPA fave...

Checked out some hard seltzers earlier in the day...
    [IMG] [IMG]
I'mma post it up over there next...

    Gojira...

    Cheera...

Red ales would be an interesting tasting subject, but might not be popular enough. I always look forward to Bonehead (special release soon) by Fat Heads and Nosferatu by Great Lakes. Cheers!
