Have a good Sunday. Worked 9.33 hours again. Short staffed for at least 1-2 more weeks. Got my 1 day off tonight. Got no IRS refund because of a medical bill from when I almost died in 2014, so I guess I have to live with that. I'll get my damn bass and real salary before the year is over. Still no one calling me but some solid resume views I guess.

I also had Mr Hero for the first? time last night. It is outstanding stuff. Loaded tots were banging as with the fries and cheese. Roman Burger BTE.


Transient Procession Of Unchanging Days. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, lasting head retention. Aromas and flavors of big orange, mango, melon, pineapple, passion fruit, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, wood, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, Light-moderate pine, wood, herbal, citrus rind, peppercorn bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body. Balanced creamy/bready malts, and sticky hops. Light lingering resins/rinds, minimal lingering sweetness. Mild increasing warmth of 8% and lingering hop burn after the finish. Wasn't sure on the dating, but probably from mid 2020. Held up well enough and its a great NEIPA. Citra, Melon, Mandarina, Grungeist, and Blanc hops. Great overall profile. IMO it's hard to mess up with some of the new age hops. No complaints. 4.03

New VOLA album slaps so hard, it's fucking brilliant. It has a unique sound for every song. Where is @Roguer at, I hope he gave it a spin already. I am on number 23. 2 days straight. Definitely AOTY until I see what Obscura, BTBAM, Inanimate Existence, Hannes Grossmann and Inferi get finished. Still a lot of new albums left for the year. My 8 string will get some love tonight. Gotta tune up the F#.

BIGGEST BANGER ON THE ALBUM. As soon as I heard the opening measures before the bass comes in, I orgasmed ok.

Double post from NBW thread. True Anomaly Wooden Bird Saison. Foeder aged Saison with Wallonian and Brett yeast strains. Dry hopped with Amarillo, and bottle conditioned. Really good, like everything they do. See full review over at the other thread. Just enjoying this and my book while its still raining and gloomy this afternoon.

 

Last day of vacation so sad I need some cheering up. Guess I'm never allowed to leave again. Sorry boss

 

Cape may boughs of barley. Dont usually drink barley wines but this is very nice

 

Huber Bock with a Polish sausage brat. The beer is a joke some think, not worth drinking.
But I like it, nothing great it's not bad at all.

Crane Kellerbier - six pack picked up at the brewery yesterday.

 

Been There Done That, a Double IPA from Casita Brewing Company, Wilson, NC. This one brewed with wheat, oats, dextrose and Hopped with Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic. A bit over a month old, stanky, and tasty AF. Feels like Summer, BAs... Cheers!

 

Finishing second half of cape may boughs of barley. For such high abv it goes down pretty easy

 

Sitting on the deck drinking an Anchor California Lager out of my favorite beer glass for taste and head retention. Was contemplating mowing my backyard, but mother nature has thrown some sprinkles my way to end that notion for awhile.

Black Horizon Common Visions. Fruit beer with raspberries, tart cherries, and lactose.



I am generally opposed to lactose in anything lighter than a brown, but I may need to amend my preferences to include fruit beers. Milkshake, double, and new england IPA's will remain on the "no" list though. It must be the interaction of the hop oils and lactose that does something for me that is off-putting.
