Oh hec. I hurt my back on Saturday after all the yard festivities. It put me down!
Yesterday was a wash but I'm on the mend and out in the Stube havin' a Nordeast silo from Schell. Nice!
The old Grain Belt Brewery still stands in NE MPLS.
Nice and toasty here today and I'm up to 1375 beers on Ye Oulde Bier List.

Moderate pour yields a one and a half inch white head over a hazy yellow gold body with some lacing. Head dissipates rather quickly. Nose of tropical fruit with a bit of citrus. Taste is passion fruit, a tad pineapple, and a little lemon/lime. The salt comes forward from the middle to the finish. Good feel and overall, quite a unique offering from Burlington's waterfront brewery and would recommend to anyone looking for a salted and hoppy adventure.

Enjoying a (maybe a few) Key West Sunset Ale from Florida Beer Co. Rates kinda low I think, 3.09. A bit pedestrian for a Amber/Red, very little caramel sweetness. I would give it a 3.75 at least but I'm on vacation, skipping the rewiew this time.

Transgression IPA at Heathen

 

Starting off inside Chicago Brewing Co. with a Hardway IPA, their traditional IPA brewed with Centennial, Summit, Goldings and Columbus hops.



It’s a solid option downtown if your looking to gamble and drink a local brew.

 

Well I took a chance on this beer because, #1, it's Clown Shoes and #2, it's a Bourbon Barrel-Aged IPA. Don't remember having a barrel-aged IPA. Seems closer to a Belgian Tripel and I'm digging the hockey puck out of it. Gave it high marks. Canned date 01/25/21. Sweet malty beer.

Upslope Hazy IPA.
By some coincidence the hotel where I'm staying is close to the place where I rented a small room when I started my working live ages ago. Today was another Sunday here, so I went looking for the place. Took me some time because at that time when I left for work it was still dark and before I came 'home' it was dark again. With some help from Google maps I found it.
That room was so small; when a good friend of mine stayed over at a weekend, we had to lift the spare mattress to be able open the door. Rent was halve of my monthly income in those days.
