Ran six miles in a cold steady rain. Rain stopped about 10 minutes after I finished. First weekend of summer and I'm drinking winter beers. Founders Nemesis. Cheers!

3 Floyds Barbarian Haze



From a can marked PKGD ON 02/19/21

Pours into my tulip glass a fully opaque murky pineapple-gold body with a creamy cream colored head. Fluffy lace.

Scent is tropical fruit pineapple and floral.

Taste is tropical fruit, tangerine, candy sweetness. Green melon. Subtle bitterness.

Mouth is juicy, creamy.

Solid example of the style. I'm afraid the freshest can I could get my hands on was from February and it is now nearly June. I am certain this beer will be more impressive fresher and I hope to revisit it then.

 

Another day, another triple pairing of ryes with a stout...today is BCBS 2020.

 

Phase Three Flouradience American Wheat Ale (Amarillo) at The Beer Temple in Chicago. Get some FFF Gumballhead vibes from this one. This place has one of the better beer selections in the city so you better believe I’ll be taking a look in the shop after this beer.

The Milwaukee Bucks achieved vengeance, while technology's assault on me continues. Suddenly the siren's call of a smoke detector beep summoned me. Long story short, all of my smoke detectors felt my wrath, only to discover that it was a carbon monoxide detector that was beeping. I replaced the battery on the carbon monoxide detector, and resolved the issue. Now I need to purchase all new smoke detectors. Apparently smoke detectors are to be twisted off, not pulled down straight, and smoke detectors are not designed to be hit by a hammer over 100 times. I look forward to technology's continued distain for me, as my BAC climbs. I was going to use a microwave to heat up lasagne, and then use a fork to eat it, but I think I will eat trail mix for the rest of the day.
