Moving on to Fancy Papers from CCB, a very tasty hazy ipa. Since we grilled yesterday tonight is just a ribs reheat with potato salad and another side

    Tribute ...

There's a legendary hot dog place in Central MA called Hotdog Annie's, they're known for their BBQ sauce they serve on the dogs. It's also outstanding on a burger. Try this sauce on your hot dogs or burgers - I think it's really tasty even though the recipe is pretty simple.

    Ingredients

    2 cups water
2 cups catsup (I used spicy catsup)
2 cups coarsely chopped Spanish onions
    2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    1.5 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
    1/4 cup. brown sugar

Combine all ingredients bringing mix to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 60 to 90 minutes.or until desired consistency.

New Image Brewing Co. -- Premium Pils (pilsner)

    3.65/5 rDev 0%
    look: 3.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Beautiful amber colored body; sparse, coarse carbonation; thin and patchy head. Very mild cereal grain malt aroma with just a touch of sweetness. Lightly toasted grain base flavor with a mild hop bitterness; a dollop of spiciness. Medium body; smooth and flat mouthfeel; gently warm.

This was a recommended pilsner from my favorite local, but I don't see much greatness in this beer. Sure, it's somewhat tasty, and certainly isn't "bad" overall, yet it falls short it looks and feel (at the least). I would like to pick up another can or two to revisit.

Poured at 61° F; dating info on the can label: 2021/05/12 CRISPY.

No birthday dinner would be complete without a Hamms. @Ocalafox the wife and kids got me to cook my own bday dinner. Either they're very smart or I'm very dumb. If there's bets involved, go with the latter. Jus sayin. Cheers!

Alley Oop, a DIPA brewed by Short Throw Brewing in collaboration with Other Half. The bottle shop sold out of cans but still had some in the keg. Really good stuff.

Im a believer that one of the best ways to honor those not here are to enjoy the life you have.
I started doing this on holidays like this and the anniversary of people who have passed. I get up at the crackn of dawn and just max out the day doing all the things they no longer can do. I appreciate my freedom and respect those that paid a price for that.
Hope you all have a full great day[IMG]

    Cross post NBW
Happy Memorial Day and to those that sacrificed their lives you are in our thoughts and memories. We salute you.
My second (kind of) entry into NBW -
Lone Pines Oh-J DDH with El Dorado version.
Pours a fairly solid orange with a tall and creamy off white head that lingers leaving a thin cap and many rings of sticky lacing.
Aroma is overripe pineapple, peach, sweet tangerine and melon.
Taste follows with juicy citrus, pineapple and peach and grace notes of kiwi and white grape. Moderately sweet with a myriad of flavors like a handful of jelly bellies that finishes with a gentle pine bitterness to balance things out. Juicyfruit.
Highly drinkable at 8.1% thats hardly noticeable. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated. Another great beer from Lone Pine and a nice varient of the original which is also a great brew. The huge flowering bush in the background is my favorite plant in the yard, a Beautybush. Its covered with abundant pink aromatic flowers that lasts for a few weeks.
    Cheers!
