Howdy all! Kicking it with a Block 15 Dortmunder Export lager, and it's pretty tasty.

Gumbo and the Bayou were made for each other. ("4 Fiddy North" did a nice job with this beer.)

It’s starting to spit rain; looks like the front is arriving early tonight. I’ll burn down what little wood I have left, and pack it in for the evening. Night cap - eine kleine Biermusik Kölsch:

Weathered Ground hit a home run with this new release. I hope it is brewed again and I can get it later this summer. Cheers y’all and good night!

But I had this right before - got tied up on a phone call with my neighbor while I was drinking it.

Awesome beer vibes going on here. Brought a crowler of Mchilhenney to my homie at one of my beer bars and he poured me a Pliny for it:

    look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Very clear, light to medium gold colored body; nice carbonation; thick and frothy head, white and sticky. Sweet and floral aroma; melon; faint trace of lightly toasted grain. Outstanding toasted grain and honey flavor; slowly developing, ultimately moderate hop bitterness; peppery. Medium body; mildly coarse; nice overall brightness to the feel.

This is another fine offering from a small brewery. The beer itself is well-rounded and quite satisfying with a nice low ABV character.

Poured at 47° F.; additional bottle label info: BREWED FOR THE WILD ROSES · LET THE SPARKS FLY

This oh-J DIPA is fantastic, the nose will immediately suck you in and you won't be disappointed with the taste. Leftover chicken and rice with sweet plantains.....this is a death row final dinner for me.....

When I see Club Raul is open, I don’t risk breaking any glassware. Another one, this time out the can.

@RaulMondesi remind me to hit you up about Pliny. Cause that looks immaculate. I keep forgetting.

Requesting this from the DJ at Club Raul. This “rock” performance from Doja is fuego. :fire:

@Shanex Thabks for the clarification regarding @Insomniac .

@mickyge . Learned the hard way to ever take anything for granted until the game is over.

Montreal jumped on Winnipeg early tonight, hope they start the series off right.

New to me beer to start my evening here. Don’t pick this style very often, but Pipeworks is one of the few I’ll always try.

Bar beer notes: Hazy Pale Ale with Cyro Mosaic Hops. Chicago, IL. 6% ABV. 16 oz draft pint poured into a shaker pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy creamy golden orange blend, bright white creamy head leaves creamy white layer over the base. 3.75

    Aroma:
Sharp tropical punch, pineapple, mango. Very sweet. 4.0

    Taste:
Consistent with aroma, very sweet tropical fruit with minimal offset bitterness. Very sweet pineapple, tangerine, mango, light citrus and lemon backing. Very sweet, reminds me of Tang fixed with extra mix. 3.75

    Mouthfeel:
Creamy medium body, light fizzy carbonation, very sweet, minimal if any bitter offset. Sweet aftertaste lingers. 3.5

    Overall,:
Hoping for something more balanced, but consistent with many beers with this style. Beer is good, just not brewed for me. 3.5

Montreal just gave up a goal on a week play by the point on the power play. Have to fight through each and every minute, especially in the playoffs.

Will cue what’s on here, reminds me of 1983, wish I could go back.

Thanks again, pets turn into family, it’s hard not to get attached. Sometimes they are better than family, their love is unconditional.
We have been pretty lucky with cats. We had Gus for 17 years, he clocked in at 24 pounds. He was an outside cat and you never knew what he would bring home. My brother nick named him Chuck Norris. We had Abby for 19 years, she would retrieve a sock ball like a dog. Cats are wicked trainable and definitely regimental.

You must be doing something right as those are some serious numbers for cats. Sounds like you really enjoy having them around ,maybe thats what accounts for their longevity
