What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3164

Wicked Witch, a Stout brewed with raspberry, at Glenmere Brewing Co. I’m impressed with this offering, too. The berry is fresh and flavorful but not overly sweet and the base stout itself is solid. The mocha-colored head had a pretty, berry hue. This brewery is a gem. Check it out if you can. Located close to Rushing Duck, Drowned Lands, and Tin Barn.

 

Seeing this beer available fresh at local grocery stores makes me very happy!

Finally, I have been seeing lots of people post Thank You 2021 from Maine on here the last few week, and now I have some

Review over at the NBW thread. Overall, simple, to the point and just all around well made IPA, that should not surprise anyone that is a fan of the brewery. Solid A- from me, starting my next book, The Hour of the Star by Clarice Lispector. Love this new 100 year anniversary edition by New Directions publishing, one of my favorite independent publishers.

 

Got up early and smoked baby backs for weekend nibbling. Citra City is clearly a pairing fail, but I'm going with impulse and breaking the "rules"

 

I'm enjoying one of the beers Wifey got me for my birthday. Zundert 8, described in the bottle as a "Trappist ale brewed with spices". It's listed here as a Strong Ale-Belgian Dark. It's a lovely beer with notes of light spiciness, caramel, yeasty bread and dried dark fruits. I rated it 4.17, a bit over it's BA average of 3.93.

 

Varietal - Weed Wolf: Celestial Mantra. At Chuck's Hop Shop. This is really nice.

 

This ones tasting good this afternoon. Part smoothie beer, part IPA is the best way I can describe it. Has a lot of hop flavor but also that seedy fruit pulp texture. Anyone got recommendations on more stuff like this?
