Ugggh. Gotta work 9 to 5 tommorow with old injury getting worse by the day. Should probably go to doctor but don't want to pay. Got off at midnight last night I'm just dead right now. Cheers

 

First beer of the day. Wife and I had granddaughter babysitting duty for a 3 and one-half year old. Decided drinking did not mix with the responsibility. We are now officially off duty.

Lakefront Brewing Riverwest Stein, the OG craft beer from Milwaukee, WI!

 

White Elm Mega C&D Imperial Milk Stout (Pastry Stout), 12.5% ABV. Due to a cease and desist order, they can no longer call it "Double Stuffed" so they changed the name, added even more Oreos, and amped up ABV from 8% to 12.5%. Best Oreo stout ever.

I'm a broken record (uhm is that a pun or not ), yeah I know. More remembrance for my good friend Fred Allred who passed last Sunday, who owned Allrecords in Houston. One of my favorite people. His son is running the store for now, for a few months until he has to go back to his real world of teaching in the Hill Country. He made my day, with saving me a copy of Bill Evans Behind the Dikes LP set, which is beyond anything the family should have done.

Anyway, a stunning 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze, with the equally as stunning original 11 LP pressing of Sun Bear Concerts by Keith Jarrett. Purchased years ago at Fred's original Allrecords location (he moved the store, and I helped , about 5+ years ago).



Listen to this quick before Jarrett puts a copy right hold on this and takes it down.

Tonight’s lineup so far: HOMES Coco Banana Daq which is a coconut/banana/lime smoothie with vanilla and absolutely decadent, Pilsner Urquell, followed by Whilom with dinner, a nice hoppy pale ale from Resilience that is crisp enough to enjoy in this heat. Last but not least. Hold on to Sunshine courtesy of @mickyge. I liked this one. Very authentic peanut butter flavor melding perfectly with chocolate and roasted coffee. Thanks Mike. Cheers to your wife on retirement and cheers to you for having a great taste in beer. Cheers all on a glorious Saturday night.
