I’ve been driving around the mainland looking for LED bulbs that will fit our antiquated high hats. Magically I found myself in the neighborhood of Slack Tide Brewing. I’m havng a new release, Jet Head, single-hopped with Galaxy and brewed with oats and wheat. Tasty and easy drinking. Thursday vacation cheers!

Second pour at Slack Tide: Double Header, a West Coast DIPA. A rare swing and miss for Slack Tide. It has the bitter citrus and malt backbone but lacks the resinous pine. In terms of Slack Tide WCIPAs I like Intracoastal a lot more.

One of dese N/A Untitled Art Juicy beers, long after a 10 mile run, and some work this morning.

Oh yeah, and congrats to @GreenBayBA who is apparently "living his best life" right now. Congrats to the Bucks and to their fans... that was a great final game and it was a much deserved win.
    Cheers!

I have had 75 billion attempts at trying to upload an awesome picture of Giannis Antetokounmpo that I took, and only could upload this beer picture. I will accomplish it soon. If my phone still lives.

Was gonna go for a long run today but it's sprinkling and still hazy air from wildfire smoke. So, with that plan dashed...I baked right over to Hudson for a haul. Check the latest beer haul thread.

After the last beer at Slack Tide I'm searching for redemption. And I found it at Ludlam Island Brewing: Where My Shades At? a Double NE IPA hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Centennial. Really good. No photo but I also had a pour of Amontillado, an Imperial Stout which is a favorite of mine. I'm back home and will spend some time reading at the beach. Cheers!

    Hello everybody !
Fresh beer before dinner on an endless working day...

Birra dell'Eremo - FIJI - Double Dry Hopping Pale Ale (5,5%)

    Can 33 cl.
    Best before: 11/2021.
On the nose tropical fruit and light malty nora typical of a "session".
    Deep yellow color, slightly opaque.
Pour abundant, soft, flavorful foam that won't fade.
In the mouth, very light body, soft (slight silkiness), lively and not excessive carbonation.
Explosive taste: citrus notes (grapefruit, clementine) first of all, then also fruity notes of peach skin and apricot. But above all hints of grapefruit. Slightly bitter finish that dries the beer on the tongue, pleasant fruity notes on the palate (notes of yellow peach also emerge).
It reminds me a lot of a Session Ipa for the intensity of the taste given by the hops.
On the other hand, the lightness of the final bitterness is more similar to a Pale Ale (even over-hopped) since from a Session Ipa I would prefer a light but greater incisiveness.
    Very fresh, light.
Usual quality beer from Birrificio dell'Eremo (and also a nice can, which I'll keep), even if the TUKA (6.2% Neipa) remains unattainable for the summer!
