[IMG] Another one I grabbed while traveling, it is good but I am a New Englander and not in the same league as what I have access to. It is unique and that counts.

    Hey BA's

In from a nice evening canoe paddle on our lake....Emma is getting more comfortable being in the canoe this season and sits down and relaxes more, than last year.....she has calmed down a lot in general since I rescued her in Jan 2020

I have been a Washington fan since the late 1970s. Prior to that, I was a diehard Steeler fan probably because I attended college in Pennsylvania. Four super bowl rings not too shabby. Will any team ever match the steel curtain?

Actually, I have my share of Redskins paraphernalia. Even a bottle opener. I would post a photo of it but would not want to offend anyone. Given the name change I guess I will have to get a new one.

[IMG] Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup: (All 3 out of 3 pairs correctly matched in the blind test)

    1) Firestone Walker Lager (4.5%):
A helles-style lager from California that has flavors of lemon citrus, Munich malts and yeast. Lighter-bodied and clean.
    versus
    2) Maui Bikini Blonde (5.1%): A helles-style lager from Hawaii with flavors of earthy honey, bread dough, and Munich malts. Smooth and malty. Tastes authentic.

    3) Pecatonica Beer Co Muskelager (4.8%): An American Lager from Wisconsin that has smooth flavors of bread malts, malt liquor, and corn malts. Smooth.
    versus
    4) Surly’s First Ave +1 (5.1%): A blonde ale from Minnesota that has flavors of lemonflower with a smooth and earthy honey malt finish.

    5) Breckenridge Brewery Juice DropvHazy IPA (7.0%): An IPA from Colorado that has flavors of grapefruit, lime, herbs, cilantro, and faint coconut. A herbal bitterness on the finish. Sort of like a mojito. Would describe as a Mexican IPA.
    versus
    6) Sierra Nevada’s Hazy Little Thing (6.7%): A hazy IPA from California that has orange, lemon, citrus, and pineapple flavors. A resinous and sweet orange and mango finish.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    2) Maui Bikini Blonde:
This one surprised me with its strong German bread malt and earthy honey malt profile. Pretty authentic for a helles.

    4) Surly's First Ave: This one has a delicious earthy honey and floral flavor profile. Smooth honey and lemonflower make this one of the best blonde ales.

    6) Sierra Nevada's Hazy Little Thing: This one has a stronger and juicier flavor profile. The Juice Drop had a lime and herbal note, but not as smooth as most American hazy IPAs.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you tried Maui Bikini Blonde did you think it was a good helles-style lager?
Have you tried Breckenridge Juice Drop IPA yet and what were your thoughts? ...Better or worse than Hazy Little Thing? Did it have a a mojito flavor?

In my humble opinion, Hazy Little Thing is one of the best IPAs you can buy off the shelf and not have to stand in a beer line. But since Covid beer lines do not seem like an issue anymore.
