Hardywood Casuario (basically their Mexican spice-Cassowary)... 2020 vintage... my BIL dislikes pepper beers so he gifted this to me... his loss is my sweet gain

The calm before tomorrow’s tropical storm. We’re at Slack Tide Brewing. No new releases but some old favorites. First, Estuary, a DIPA hopped with Citra, El Dorado, and Simcoe. Cheers!

Märzen Monday sounds better, but Tuesday works. It is Tuesday, right?

 

Next up: Thermocline, a NEIPA with New Zealand hops. I’ll pick up some cans of a couple other IPAs, then it’s off to dinner at a favorite diner. Cheers!

 

Well BA's, it's not been that often lately I've come across a poorly made beer, but I did today. This is Fall Line Brewing out of Macon, GA Oktoberfest Marzen. The cloudy, muddy appearance set an unfortunate tone out of the gate. Poor head retention, light on malty aroma. Thin mouth feel and light on flavor too. It doesn't taste bad, but it just falls flat. Worst part is, I'm stuck with a sixer. I wonder what they were thinking putting this out there against so many really good Marzens.

There are a number of great German Hefe's out there. That one is one of the best. Very enjoyable beer. Great choice sir!
