The crowler I opened earlier is not quite empty yet but I thought I would switch up and have this IPA before I finish it.

Finishing up the 6er of this, it’s a little on the hoppy side, but still drinks like an Oktoberfest. Rhinegeist rocks, IMHO.

That’s my favorite beer from Texas - by a lot. The 9 months we lived in McKinney back in 2017, I probably purchased a keg’s worth of the 16.9 oz bottles at my relatively local Total Wine because they always had it fresh.

 

Tradition has it that when you finish a crowler or growler you post the Doors song “The End”. That is not tradition, Mike . Just your crazy s**t.

That said, I am too lazy to post the tune.

Again, at one of my favorite dive bars, named after one of my favorite books. Under the Volcano.

Saint Arnold Harmony IPA. A Mosaic IPA, that is fine, hits the trendy notes and will be a big seller for them. Though they do much better IMO. Needed to try it as I always do with SA. I understand why they have to do the cool kids thing, but eh not going to be one I regularly have.

Still reading Karl Ove Knausgaard's new novel The Morning Star. Its a big one, and a good one. Psychological horror, biblical allegory, mundane life all rolled into one


Chimay White and the smoked salmon, always a good pairing for me.



Might pour some of the brown liquor...meaning Evan Williams Bottled in Bond, and go out to the courtyard and continue my book on this beautiful day. While there is still some light out.
