We just rec'd a couple cases of these last week.
My first from a can and it's very similar to the bottle, methinks.
Quite delicious but maybe a tad thinner than I remember.

Wow! I am jealous. There use to be a place like this near me. Loved the food. Loved the beer. Loved the ambiance. Sadly Covid put them out of business.

Yeah, Johnny's is great, one of the few real "corner" bars around me, which I miss as I grew up in Champaign/Urbana...outside of Chicago its corner bar heaven

They did just have to raise their prices though, from $8 to $9, happy hour is still $5 and your first Old Fashioned is $2 so its all good still ha.

Wow! That’s really cool. So, we share good times and recognize a good woman when she enters our life. I met my wife 25 years ago thru friends at Saratoga race track… living in Albany,NY which is a college town every year I got 1 year older and the girls I got with stayed the same age, which was fun for a while. I remember asking my future wife what school she went to which was typical, she took off her sun glasses and showed me the most dazzling blue eyes, and said she just finished grad school and was a teacher. My heart went womp! I calculated: attractive, smart, good with children (lol could be my kids)…. So, that was it, I got my charm on and done. You too I bet, even with your hippy pony tail, lol your daughters benefited from your hard ass ways, and your wife’s understanding of children. Win-win!

 

Sounds like a great place. I grew up in NJ. Went to college in Pennsylvania. A small local bar on every corner. That was one thing I missed when I moved to Richmond.

You my friend are a smart dude. I do not say this because I think we had a similar background at least when it comes to the ladies. Just you see life in a good way.

We have two daughters but just one grandkid. They need to get busy.

That said my friend I make it a point to enjoy good beer especially those brewed in Richmond.

 

So, while sitting at the bar, one of the bartenders said "Pretty good not bad, can't complain" in answer, from someone, who asked...how are you doing? Which is the lyric to a John Prine song...now I got to spin it

With Equal Parts Kaizen, a really good Japanese Style Rice Lager.
