    What’s my Xmas doing out in the Wild virtual bar!?! I agree with your wife, stop posting all those wonderful Xmas like pictures, as it can be hazardous to your health! Imagine if you spilled some beer, the shock could lead to some serious issues!

    ...back when I used to play guitar (and mandolin), I did a decent version of this song in some sort of open tuning on my old Yamaha FG-160 (open D, open E, something like that)...one of the sweetest acoustic songs I know of...I've heard another version with Barry Oakley and, perhaps, others, in the mix, but I much prefer this intimate version...

    Just submitted my packet for tenure. Exciting moment. Little scary, but exciting. Anyways, I'm celebrating with a pint of Maine Beer Co's Wolf Neck. Cellar temp. Very juicy. Very tasty.

    A very good DIPA.

    Son-in-law found out Monday morning he has Covid. He was not feeling well and knew something was wrong. He suspected Covid since a number of folks he works with and several customers are infected. Daughter and granddaughter are fine but got the PCR test just in case. Both were negative.

    Last night's closer and what a beautiful beer this was. I've never heard of this Ohio brewery before but they absolutely nailed this Northeast style (IMHO). @SawDog505 (watch your porch... :wink:

    Saw my surgeon this morning…despite my daily pain, he says everything is looking good and I can start PT in January…having my dessert before dinner - Arkane’s “Dessert Eagle - Turtle” (2021):

    Poured at 54°. Delicious! Aged 11 months in Four Roses, then 23 months in Heaven Hill barrels. Then chocolate, caramel and roasted pecans added. Perfectly balanced and smooth, easy drinking. No heat from barrel or 12% abv. Cheers gang!

    ...loved this album back when originally released; got this bizarre B+W CD cover issue when seeing the Dregs in Colorado Springs (or maybe it was a Steve Morse solo tour), probably in the late 1999 or so at the Stargazers Theater...

    @Providence - this is a major hurdle and step, so kudos! As a fellow teacher/academic, these are massive moments in a career that few can understand, so hope it all goes well!
