    Good afternoon BA's,

    Almost missed this release this year. New Belgium Oakspire 9% ABV. I really like this. Now this year's may not appeal as much to some bourbon barrel aged beer fans because it is not as strong on the bourbon aroma & flavors, but I like the subtlety and the fact that the oak aroma and flavor comes through. I'm not a bourbon fan (we had a falling out years ago :slight_smile:), so I like the bourbon flavors are not real in your face. I am amazed at how well the 9% ABV is hidden. It's warming, but you hardly notice it. I still like it a lot.

    I'm experimenting with some new lighting and the light was too close, you can see my light source reflected. Practice makes perfect! Cheers!

    Out and about...starting off at Holler for a great English Bitter on cask. Which is amazing as always. The last few weeks they have had a NEIPA and a Berliner Weisse on cask, and they didn't sell, and weren't particularly good. Its a wonder why this thing is almost gone the day they pull it through the engine as its great. Perfect style for cask, really well conditioned, and they sold more of this in the first hour they were open today then the other two combined. Yeah, hoping they just stick with this, their English Mild and ESB from now on.

    And their wonderful Late Bloomer. 10% ABV Brandy Barrel aged Old Ale. Always love this one.
