I miss having a wood burning stove. It could be a blizzard outside and if you fell asleep on the couch in the same room you’d wake up drenched in sweat. Also during hurricane sandy it helped us cook food and feel normal. Hydraulic log splitter was worth it too although a couple beers while chopping wood would help you grow a beard in 30 minutes lol

I loved it too in our old house. Kind of a pain in the ass if you didn’t split enough to last the winter especially if there was a snow storm, but the comfort of the heat was unmatched. At one point, we had taken it out because it began to have hot spots in the base of the burn pot and replaced with a pellet burner. I’ll have to say, I was equally impressed with that little unit but there was a lot less work involved. Cheers buddy.
