I could not believe it! I scored these beers on the way home from work! I was so excited! Christmas weekend will be epic! And then I got home. There was a box on my porch. Another gift for the kids from a relative, I figured, because I did not get a delivery notification. I picked up the box. It was heavy and made a glugging sound. It was from @azuelke!!! We trade beers in-person! What is this?
Unbelievable!!!!! Amazing!!!!! Best surprise ever!!!!! This was an act of incredible thoughtfulness and generosity by @azuelke, and it was inspired by such an act by @jrc1093, that @azuelke experienced! People often express to me they think I am strange for my love of craft beer; taking pictures of every beer, shipping boxes of beer across the country, meeting strangers for shares, etc., but this is exactly why I love craft beer the most: it is the community and the relationships! I will never forget how happy and grateful this made me feel! Thank you, guys!

I will be representing Tree House Brewing in Wisconsin tomorrow by double-fisting their beers, while wearing a Christmas-light-adorned baked turkey on my head at Lambeau Field. Bucks in six!

    Happy Eve Advocates!
Today, as usual, I went to make the Christmas toast at my favorite beer shop and after a nice drink of Belgian beers (Avec les Bons Voeux, as always in spectacular form) and various Christmases, I took home a humble haul for these holidays.

    From left to right:

Microbirrificio Opperbacco (ITA) - ABRUXENSIS 2019 (version with the addition of acacia flowers and elder flowers) - Farmhouse Wild Ale (5.2%)

    2 x Birra dell' Eremo - TUKA - New England IPA (6.2%)

Microbrewery Opperbacco (ITA) - TRIPPIN FLOWERS - American Pale Ale (with Cascade hop flowers) 5.5%

Bibibir (ITA) + Maestri del Sannio (ITA) - SOLINA D'AVENA - Saison with Solina soft wheat (6%)

Bevog Brewery (AUT) - OND - Smocked Porter (6.3%)

    2 x De Dolle (BEL) - STILLE NACHT 2021 - Belgian Strong Ale (12%)

Birrificio Lambrate (ITA) - BRIGHELLA 2021 - Christmas Ale with ginger and zest and orange blossom (9%)
It's a Christmas beer, always in the Belgian winter mold, which I really appreciate and which I look forward to drinking every year with pleasure.
I also keep in the cellar a version from a few years ago that made barrels that previously contained Nebbiolo wine.

Glass given as a gift from the Brasserie Lupulus (BEL)

Our beer fridges probably look pretty similar based on those purchases. Jealous!

If you have an attached garage, at this time of year the garage serves as an extended fridge

    Christmas haul!

Apparently my kids got me a 12 Days of Christmas set of mystery beers. I suspect my wife helped them.

@jonphisher shipped me a care package which fortuitously arrived yesterday evening, so I put it under the tree and opened it with the rest of my presents this morning.
    • Lancaster - Winter Warmer (1x 12oz can)
    • Tonewood - Through Being Cool (1x 16oz can)
    • Tonewood - Stratacaster (1x 16oz can)
    • Kane - Holy Nights (1x 16.9oz bottle)
    • Kane - Sunday Brunch (1x 16.9oz bottle)

Not beer, but also Bruichladdich Classic Laddie and Shieldaig 12 year old scotches.
