Enjoying this "hybrid" of a hazy NEIPA and a Gose.

G'day Advocates! Thanks again there @dcotom for firing up the espresso machine for todays thread and wow! goin' out to @Ozzylizard with that Samichlaus Schwarzes. Also great to see @eppCOS rockin' the brew spirt pre-run! Yee Haa! I'm surrounded by awesomness! Lil' old me just popped off a quickie 5 mile run on Ye Oulde Treadmille. 'Twas groovy and I'm back to running every other day (for the most part) until weather is better to get outside and do some distances. No hurry, just like this leg of Jubelale Winter Ale. Put on Deshoes, hop on Demachine then tip some Deschutes. It's a brilliant beer really and hits the spot.
So I went thru 3 pairs of running shoes this year and experimentation is good for my world. Rotating different pairs (light trail vs exclusively road) has improved my overall game. I'm not competitive, essentially self-taught absorbing info I can use here & there but incremental improvements are a goal. Sometimes drumming income and other personal domestic affairs can crowd out and 'interfere' with run goals. It's never EZ, but that's life I guess. I'm just excited to be able to be running, have a decent amt of beer money and to be here with all of you great & wonderful folks near & far! No new years resolution(s) other than to keep & enjoy what I have. XXOO Be safe, keep on smiling & CHEERS!!

Last of my 4 pack that I picked up a couple of weeks ago in Denver.

Cerebral Shadow Council black IPA to nearly finish this year.
A really good beer, somewhere in a 4.1-4.2/5 for me overall, not quite as bitter as I like but hey, nice balance of hops, malt, and mild roastiness. Love it.

A solid 12 miler this morning with 3 miles at half-marathon tempo pace felt alright, didn't feel like dogshit. Feeling a bit better after a weird slow plodding period from October-early December (probably just too much, too soon this past year). @Beersnake1 knows what I'm talking about. Total damage for the year was 2150 miles (running only).

Woah, talk about timing and synchronicity - nice kicks collection there; that's my kind of beer and shoe ****. Hubba-hubba. Those HOKAs look sharp. Have the TOPO Terraventure 3 and Mtn Racer 2 for trails, but never tried one of their road shoes... hmm..... cheers, keep up the great work!

 

Thanks brother! Positive vibes to your running! I also really enjoy this other pr of Topo Ultrafly 2. Not zero drop but like 3mm and very durable w/less midsole/road contact. They're faster. Also tryin' out my 1st Hoka Bondi B. Double Cheers to ya!!

 

Took my mom to run some errands and we just had lunch - I am chillin' with this mediocre IPA - nice label though - what's not to like about a sailing ship on the label and cap? (reminds me a little of the New Albion label)

Finished work for this year!
Tomorrow we go to an estate with a farmhouse in Calvi dell'Umbria (a village in a neighboring region, two and a half hours by car) for the New Year's Eve dinner
Before thinking about what to bring from the cellar to celebrate at midnight, I opened this simple, very good Neipa, always the splendid shape.
I confirm that I identify it much more with a Juicy Ipa... still really tasty.
