Good afternoon BAs! Busy day started with roofing crew at 8am…Drs. appointment at 10…then chores. Roof guys are still overhead. Parabola (2021) from a trade last year:



Poured at 55°. The abv is 13.6% with 55 IBU. This year the recipe changed to - 1/3 bourbon barrel, 1/3 rye barrel, and 1/3 wheated bourbon barrel. Too drying for me and the black pepper notes are unnecessary. Not a fan. Bring back the OG! Cheers y’all!

Good afternoon BA's. Been a minute since i have been at the bar and glad to be back! Western NC was hit with the big storm that blew thru the mid-Atlantic region yesterday and we actually got about 1-2 inches in the Asheville/Hendersonville area yesterday along with winds pushing 40 MPH+. Finally, a taste of winter which is what i was bracing for back in the fall. Still on the cool side at 40 today but the sun is shining.

Anyway, a friend of mine recently ran up to the Burial Brewing Asheville South Slope location recently and brought back a pair of three Burials and one Other Half TIPA. Trying the first of the TIPA's today which is a big boy weighing in at 10.5 abv. Mosaic driven hop bill gives you the full-on citrus, tropical, and dank flavor profile. Malt bill is ginormous and a llttle heavier than hoped compared to some i have had on this scale but overall a very enjoyable beer. He got two of each so darn will have to work on the second one this afternoon!

Happy Tuesday, BA Nation! Enjoying the second day of my post holiday vacation. I didn’t think it would get better, but “what to my wondering eye”! My Equlibrium shipment arrived today!! Total day off for me, so my usual N/A (or one of them) beer at this mid-day as I continue to prepare for my upcoming course in a few weeks. Blustery, windy, nasty outdoors today... taking a day off from running too. But don't feel like warmed-up dogshit after yesterday's long run either, so hopefully good to go for tomorrow.
