If in the Atlanta area... try Chance by Wild Leap, and if you like doubles, the Alpha Abstraction series, Volume 19 currently available, is amazing!

There are so many great IPAs out there. Parish Brewing's Ghost in the Machine is always solid (in fact, pretty much everything they do is solid). That said, my absolute go-to IPA is and will probably always be Wisacre Brewing's Ananda. It's perfectly balanced, smooth, hoppy, just... everything.

Founders All Day IPA. It's a session IPA but very full bodied for under 5% ABV

I just started drinking Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA. Before that, Belgium Brewing's Voodoo Ranger. Definitely prefer Hazy Little Thing more.

Breakside - Wanderlust or Georgetown - Bodhizafa are my go-tos.
Otherwise, I bounce around dozens of new breweries and IPA recipes from the PNW. Lately I've been really digging Fast Fashion, Holy Mountain, and Steeplejack (new)... in addition to my Oregon favs: Breakside, Great Notion, Pfriem, Ruse, and Fort George. Also Pliny the Younger was glorious this year.

In Arizona I have two go IPA's that I keep on hand from Arizona based local brewers

Tower Station IPA from Mother Road Brewing in Flagstaff and
Church Music from the Shop Beer Company in Tempe AZ

Enjoy seeing all of the different IPA's that beer advocates enjoy great conversation starter.

    Cheers

Not necessarily one, but maybe two, depending on style of IPA, try to keep it local and independent.

    American IPA
    • Comrade Superpower IPA
    • Westbound & Down IPA
    Hazy IPA:
    • Weldwerks Juicy Bits
    • Sierra Nevada's Hazy Little Thing

I live in the rural midwest now and can only find a few select IPA’s in the local grocery stores. The two best IPA’s available to me are; or Fresh Squeezed (FS) from Deschutes Brewery or when I cannot find FS, I go to Easy Eddy from Big Grove Brewery. However, I’m originally from southern New Jersey and imo the best IPA’s that I ever tasted are; Squeezins and Swoosh from Bone Saw Brewery - outstanding IPA’s!!

I really do not have a go to IPA. I love to sample as many as possible. My typical weekend is to have a variety of IPAs on hand and cycle through them. I love to travel and the standard procedure is to pull into a town, check into a motel and pull up the local breweries and brew pubs. A flight at a brewery and then off to a beer pub for supper and more sampling of local beers. This has of course been put on hold during the pandemic but we are looking forward to resuming the tradition soon. We once again have reservations for Isalmorada next February so will again start our 7 day drive down, stopping at many breweries on the way. In the meantime we will be traveling to Vermont (where youngest daughter moved) and Maine for summer. vacation. Explore and experiment as much as possible!

This said some of the every week IPAs include a couple from New Belgium, Stone, Iron Hill, Troeg, and anything local

El Chingo'n from Four Corners Brewing is my choice. Very solid, easy to get and not expensive.

My default IPA has been Surly Furious since it's inception. There's a ton of excellent IPAs out there, but this one is my go to.

"go to" for me equals fairly priced, fresh, and worthy of two in a row.

And this is a new "go to" for me since they just started brewing in my home town. I have always liked it but had a very difficult time getting it less than 3 months old, same thing with Deschutes Fresh Squeezed.
