    Yesterday big evening and before returning home, stop to toast the citizen primacy in the right way:

    Geuze 100% Lambic 2020/2021:
    Young, but clean, not acidic, but with those bretted, almost moldy scents in the background. It hasn't reached a great deal of complexity, but still it truly remains a great beer

    Rosé De Gambrinus 2020/2021:
    She is more affected by the Geuze of her young age, raspberries are very dominant and give sweetness and softness (perhaps) excessive ... here, as I am, I would let the bretta work more to maybe lose a little of the gustatory power of the fruit and increase complexity and general astringency. It goes without saying that as it ages a little (in the right conditions) it becomes another beer completely.

    Quite happy about it, as this was also part of the haul I got for my birthday. A big 750ml and 9%? Might need to recap it for tonight…

    Morning, BAs! Yesterday I didn't eat a thing until about 8:30 at night, which was a mistake I will not repeat today. So, some leftover chili and a Two Hearted.

    Less spicy than yesterday, but still a lot of heat - too much for the kiddo, sadly, which was the whole reason I went vegetarian this time. Oh well; I'll dress up bowl #2 with cheese and sour cream. :grinning:

    Kane - Head High

    Call me crazy but a recent tweak in the recipe has made this beer resemble Heady, albeit in a lighter expression (both in flavor and body).

    Hello BAs, just taking it easy today with some UA Choco-malt thing. Headed to the gym for the first time in 2 years (?!) to do a little strength session; any real resistence training was the thing I was completely undisciplined about these past two years.

    Cool, cloudy, and very windy today - a good day to lay off the real stuff.

    Nothing is much better than going to a friend's house for smoked prime rib and discovering he has a kegerator with fresh beer.

    Firestone 805 is not usually my favorite, but the hop aroma coming from the foamy head was outstanding. This was my second pour:

    Good afternoon, advocates. Messed up my elbow throwing disc golf this morning. Hopefully it's just a minor ache. Anyhow, it was a really nice outing. The weather is definitely trending in the right direction. Settling in w/ what New Trail is calling an "experimental" modern WCIPA. Cheers!

    Scarface is a favorite rapper of mine that I rarely talk about. I saw the Geto Boys in concert back in the day. Great live show. RIP to Bushwick Bill and DJ Ready Red. I used to wear a 5th Ward Posse hat back in the day. I now realize how stupid that was, even though it was just about the music. Haha...
