    I figured this was going to be a West Coast IPA because it doesn’t say “New England” or “Hazy” on it… And people like it too; good score on Untappd and BA - but the majority of Hazy’s just aren’t for me. Alvarado Street Vengeful Barbarian (I couldn’t finish it):

    Spending more than 2 hours in a Verizon store trying to get a new plan and two new phones will break anyone's resolve. So, I broke.

    Wife has a new phone, I have to wait because of... you guessed it.... "supply chain" issues.
    Not a big deal, but here we are. Wanderjack IPA had to be taken out of the emergency box.

    Long day in the salt mines, need some hop relief. My favorite brewery to the rescue with this DDH Citra hazy that is sporting loads of tangerine goodness - and is that a bit of caramalt??? Really digging this on a rainy day in Northern Indiana.

    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Clear, dark brown body; nice carbonation; relatively thin yet lasting head, light khaki in color. Faint malt aroma. Rich malt flavor offset with a temperate hop bitterness; hints of chocolate and charred grain husk; toffee; a touch of brown sugar. Medium body; semi-sweet with a bit of dryness underneath; generally smooth feeling.

    A nice, easy drinking dark lager filled with dark malt flavors. It has a great ABV level, drinks easily, and is perfect when a Baltic porter or a stout or porter just seems a bit too much.
