    German IPA, an IPA by German brewery BRLO (7.1%).

    I think this makes for nice "German" IPA with an interesting flavor profile that is dominated by bitter and herbal notes, with those typical minty accents of Polaris standing out, but also shows some citrus, tropical and berry notes.

    Happy Friday BA's! Da Boss is off today and so we were able to run around and enjoy the day in the Greater Asheville area today including a visit to a Sweeten Creek brewery/BBQ joint where i enjoyed a Dunkelweizen. Nice day with temps in the mid 50's.
    Today's 2nd choice is an American Barleywine from Thirsty Dog who has nailed this style down very well! Can see getting this when released annually. @BeerVikingSailor was wondering if you have had this and your opine on it.
    Have control of the radio and currently listening to Underground Garage from Sirius XM. Just caught a Stones song i had never heard before which was pretty enjoyable.

    Wren House - Dry Hopped Valley Beer (Nelson version).

    The use of Nelson un-lagerifies this beer and makes it taste like a session IPA/APA. I would have never guessed this to be a lager if I was to blind taste it.

    Having another Perpetual because the last one was exquisite. I'm "trying" to refrain from the NEIPAs, as I have some Fiden's, Root+Branch, and more in store for Sunday. I also like a "real" IPA. Yes, I just said that. Haha! I like them all.
    Side note: Perpetual cans will give you a best by (6/28/22), brewed on (2/23/22), and time (10:54). Most people would probably focus on the brewed on or best by. I'm here to tell you this is wrong. Always, and I mean always, look at the time. Beers canned anywhere between 12:00-3:00pm est, should be avoided at all costs. This is when the power grid is running beyond capacity on the east coast, which has an effect on the canning line that typically results in oxidation levels that "can" render a beer undrinkable. Thank me later.

    Brewfist la Trinidad de Pedro, a Barleywine from Italy (Codogno, less than an hour SE of Milano) aged one year in PX Sherry barrels. About to tear into some Vermont cheese delights.

    Ferngespräch, a "modern" Pilsner by German brewery Blech.Brut (5.6%).

    This is far more restrained than I had expected from a "modern" Pilsner, but in a good way, It does stay true to the style. being dominated by floral and grassy hops without feeling overly fruity, but crisp and clean, with only subtle citrus notes coming through.

    Westward Expansion IPA 7.8% - ODD Muse
    Iv been trying some local stuff lately. Odd Muse brews has been my favorite so far. This is 1 of their new beers. Very tasty imo what I'd call a classic IPA, I will definitely be picking up more. Cheers!
