A few minor chores to do, then it's time for college basketball, both boys and girls. Would love to see a 15 seed make it to the Final Four.

Another victim of the ongoing cellar purge, and while a beer I’ve had several times, I’ve never rated it here - Arkane Aleworks’ “Dessert Eagle - Fluffer”:

A remnant of the days when we stood in line at the brewery to buy 2 bottles of beer, mere days before COVID-19 shut the world down…Monday Release TBBW March 2020; cellared in one of my chillers since…

TBBW March 2020 Release. Poured at 55°. Reddish tan tight head disappears quickly; poor cap retention; no ring; a few spots of lace and no legs on swirl. Caramel and mild bourbon nose. Taste follows with marshmallows whip taste; no peanut butter to speak of; semi sweet caramel finish. Full minus body, and not adjuncty; smooth viscous feel; some dry oak in finish; light carbonation; a little warmth from 12% abv. Overall, this pastry stout held up well; I don’t recall much nuttiness on draught originally, and now the flavors are layers of caramel and marshmallows with a bit of bourbon in the linger. Still very enjoyable 2 years out…

    4.0 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 4.25 | 4.5
    Score: 4.39 rDev +3.1%

I don’t believe further cellaring will do justice to this beer…I can’t image many bottles are left out there in the wild (this is my last), but a suggestion - I’d drink ‘em if you got ‘em.

Time to be semi productive…Cheers y’all!

I am pretty excited to have that one as my closer tonight. Makes Sunday night more tolerable knowing I will close out the weekend with my first one of these ever. This guy canned 3/07/22 is pretty darn tasty.[IMG]

Annoyed, because a bottle of Chimay Trippel lacks a head, or much flavor

which happens too often with Belgian beers here.
But I am happy that Biniam Girmay from Eritrea is the winner of Gent-Wevelgem, the first Black African to win a World Tour pro bike race.
