Post PT beer at the pub, starting with one from my share bag to split with the bar - New Glarus “Strawberry Rhubarb”:



My favorite flavor, from my favorite fruited ale brewery. Light tart rhubarb, semi sweet strawberries. Tastes like liquid pie. Cheers y’all!

Moving on…surprised the keg has not kicked since Monday…Trillium’s “Sleeper Street” IPA, El Dorado and Columbus hops:



I could drink this hazy all day long…just goes to show, for me, that the best brewers produce delicious NE style IPA. Cheers gang!

 

Haven’t had a daytime beer in a while…but some in house projects and the depressing weather outside made a Lizard King seem like just what the doctor ordered…

 

Naturally, I drank this. Mama!

 

Now dialing back the abv (4.2%) and enjoying a session IPA - and another never seen brewer here in SWFL - Carton’s “Boat Beer”:



Pours opague pale gold, two fingers of fluffy white foam; excellent cap retention; heavy ring; heavy minus lacing. Hoppy grassy nose. Light bitter hops; cut grass ; firm yet light malt base. Light body (but not watery); moderate minus carbonation. Overall an excellent session IPA; good taste; and poundable.

Just wrapped up work for the day and I'm off til next Wednesday so I think that calls for a beer.

After getting the 2nd booster shot yesterday, I had no ill effects whatsoever except for a slightly sore arm which seems to have abated for the most part. The last time I was totally fatigued the next day, I didn't experience any of that this time.

 

Very bright lime profile. It's not bad at all.

 

Well golf might have gotten rained out, but I'm determined to have a day of leisure!



Just lit a little fire. I have a ton of yard debris that's gotta get burned and it's perfect weather for it today. Couple different neighbors will surely converge once this gets rippin'!



Doesn't look like a large pile in the photo, but I sure wish I could just light it in place rather than 50 wheelbarrow loads moved 20 feet. That would almost certainly be a poor decision though, however tempting.

 

Good afternoon BA's! A windy cloudy 70-degree day south of Asheville today.
Today's choice is a pastry stout from Westbrook to commemorate their 11th anniversary. Not a bad beer by any stretch but a tad too sweet for my pallet.
Da Boss wanted SXM's PopRocks today and currently listening to a cut off of STP's first album. Did see them with my then 13-year-old daughter in PHX while touring for their 2nd album Purple (she's 41 now) which in retrospect was probably when Weiland was clicking at his best.
