Post PT beer at the pub - Humble Sea’s “HS5” DDH West Coast IPA-with Mosaic, Nectaron and Strata hops, collab with Ghost Town:

I’ve been pranked by the brewery! This beer checks every NE IPA box, and not a single WC box. And the mosaic is onion in the nose and on the tongue. Not for me, can’t finish the pint…

Cheers and have a great Friday y’all!

Are you taking down the decorations already, putting them up already, or just admiring the ones (still) there? Whatever the answer, I approve!

I really enjoyed that beer. If I find it in cans it'll make it into my summer cooler next to All Day.

This is totally new on me. A Blonde Stout - NoFo Brew Co. False Peak. Checks in at 8%. Nothing like I expected. Strong coffee bean notes, nutty (hazelnut), decidedly warming. It has a medium body, so it's not heavy like an American Sweet Dark Stout. This was is quite effervescent. I'm nit real sure what to think, honestly. Very interesting though.

I’ve only had a couple blonde/white stouts and I’ve enjoyed the experiences but the damn color just throws my lizard brain off! Cheers.

This beer has for me has all but replaced All Day IPA for me. I think the flavor is better and the ABV is lower. I’m interested in your lager choice now… Lager of the Lakes or Solid Gold? LotL is the clear choice for me. Cheers.

I just talked with the brewer about it. He's just having fun playing around with some different styles. It's definitely a strange animal. I think it's misnamed. It's a strong blonde ale in my opinion. They just added brewed coffee and cocoa nubs to get the more stout-like character. I'm like you it just feels unnatural but it's not bad at all. Too easy to drink too. They only serve it in 8 oz glasses for good reason!

Had to go back with something more familiar after that Blonde Stout. Czech Pilsner. Easy drinking. Cheers all!

That's the seasonal year round tree in the media room that changes with the various holidays. It will shift to a patriotic theme for the summer! The room is decorated with an outdoorsy theme so it seemed a no brainer to leave it up.

Fine pale yellow body; lively carbonation; thick, sudsy head, frothy. Incredibly bold yet delicate floral hop aroma; bright and fresh. Light, clean taste; mild malt base with a moderate hop bitterness; hint of pear and other mild esters. Light body; crisp; semi-dry feel.

This is a wonderful German-style pilsner, light and delicate on the palate with a quiet dryness. The aroma is truly amazing, clean and fresh.
