Thanks - came out great - interesting spice blend which includes 2 tsps of coarsely ground fennel seed, lends a great flavor.

 

This is how bad it is, no. You would think with todays housing market you could get big money for any house. Unfortunately this one lowers the value of all the abutters.
All the houses around me are in pretty good shape, ours is the newest, we built it in 1990. That house looks like it did when we first bought ours, we almost didn’t buy it because of it. Sad.

Sorry to hear about your wife's grandfather, my sincere condolences to both of you.

Thanks gents, I’ll pass the sentiments onto the wife. Only grandparent she’s had, as her others died before she was born or could remember. So she’s taking it pretty hard, naturally. We had plans to visit him this weekend when we were down, had spoken to him and he was excited. Such is the circle of life though.

This is the recipe I use - you can adapt it as desired. I don't add the potatoes due to the carbs - spikes the crap out of my blood sugar. I use carrots instead.

I raise the temp to 400 degrees for the last half hour of cooking to crisp the skin.
