I've been "away" for way too many months and one thing that definitely hasn't changed is this great guitar playing. Damn good stuff ... as always. Keep 'em coming. :+1: :beer:

Yep, yer right, I've never heard of that one before. The on-board effects are worth the price of admission right there and it sounded pretty darn good on the recording (however I really liked the original recording better since I'm a sucker for electric guitars, especially when playing an iconic guitar through such an iconic brand amp - the tone was super greasy and smooth).

That's really cool because the only carbon fiber acoustics I've ever heard of are the Rainsongs and they cost a small fortune. A bass player friend of mine had a Steinberger that he always kept in his car because it was composite and 'never had to worry about the temp and humidity changes like you mentioned.

I checked out the website, that X4 is a really nice looking guitar and for the price, it's a no brainer.

I really liked your post. Brought back memories. A guy I knew came to America with his wife after the Vietnam war. He opened a Vietnamese restaurant. Awesome food! He sold the restaurant recently after 40+ years.

That said, the food looks awesome and I am a fan of Powder Day.

The Howard Roberts can get pretty greasy - it's kind of like a cross between a Les Paul and an ES-335. You can really approximate the sound of both of those guitars on it. I'm the original owner too.

Finally done for the day, and starting very light. I don't intend to take very long with this one, though.

Cheers and get out to the Dunes!:sunglasses::beers: It's truly a unique place and still a bit under the radar as the parks go. Hit the sand at sunrise and there wasn't a person in sight. Saw people on the way down but they're so spread out because of the enormity of it all.

Any preference between Cerberus, Trinity or something else off 25. I'd like a pit stop on my way back north.

    Here you go @LarryV

Some more John Scofield. One of his early albums as the leader, maybe his first released live album?? It is absolutely amazing. With a killer band, Richie Beirach, George Mraz, Joe LaBarbera. This is the ultimate session players album, but live and amazing.

Oh, and needed a beer to hold up to this amazing music, so Maine's King Titus it is.

Just chillin' tonite w/this convincing Summit Twins Pils. A great tasting beer! Bold hops, biscuit malt, moderately dry and quenching. A home run beer! Cheers!

RAR Herb. Juicy grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and caramel. Mouthfeel is almost but not quite sticky; alcohol is well hidden. Finish is more juiciness, with a note of pine bitterness lingering. Nice DIPA with some characteristics of West Coast and NE IPAs.
