    Got my bike ride in early, got my volunteering done for the week, and having a Vallejo from Half Acre and not really enjoying it, so as that great American philosopher once said "shit happens"......so enjoy what's in yer glass.......

    Finally getting a day to spend at home. Enjoying a Spindletap Houston Haze to get started.

    Feeling a little "Texas" today. Saw these two yahoos, Dos Borrachos, last Friday night at our local live music venue in Christoval. Party band. Gran Momento! Roger Creager and Kevin Fowler showed up with a twelve piece band and hammered for 2 1/2 hours. Didn't have any material for an encore so just winged it. Finished with a group sing along of Neil Diamond.....

    Good afternoon, Advocates! Another lovely sunny spring day with temps in the upper 70's south of Asheville.
    Today's first choice is the RIS GABF 2014 Gold Medalist from Pisgah which is in the greater Asheville area. The brewing team is legit as i have rated 7 of 8 beers above the BA average. Nice cocoa nib flavor that pairs well with the medium roasted malt base with legit hopping to keep this bad boy clean in the end. Definitely need to make it to their taproom in the near future!
    Caught this Ramones song earlier, love their energy and vibe!

    I had their Double Chocolate Motor Oil at a bar the other day which was excellent as well, I really wish I could find their stouts in cans more often around here. All I ever see from them these days are their shitty NEIPAs... It's like day and night with De Moersleutel, their stouts are fantastic and their IPAs are terrible. Kinda the same deal with Kees, really...

    Galaxy, a NEIPA from English brewery Wander Beyond (6.7%).

    I've really enjoyed the creative and well-balanced sours I've had from Wander Beyond, but this NEIPA left me a little disappointed, to be honest. I mean. it's a nice enough example of the style, it just lacks the bright, vibrant juiciness and soft mouthfeel to really stand out,
