Wasn’t a big fan of that one either.
I felt like since the Sabro was only one of the 4 hops used it made it tolerable. I ended up giving a 3.75/5.

Figure I should post this here for the WC crowd.

Shocker considering the Breweries involved.... But this Collab is EXCELLENT. Just enough dank, just enough hop flavor. Balanced.

    Slice and Beachwood Collab.

West Coast Double IPA. Mosaic, Strata, Enigma, and Columbus Cryo hops.

anyone try RnD4 on tap? It was at the Davis Beer Shoppe so I brought a bottle in to share/compare. The bottle was much more “fresh hop” green, vegetal (Sabro?) than the draft. I wasn’t the only one to smell and taste the beers and wonder if they were really the same. I liked the bottle much more, go figure. (I’ve always liked the fresh hop ales of Aug/Sept/Oct.)

Urban Roots (Sacramento) and Beachwood Collab. STEELY JAM WC IPA. Mosaic and Strata. Really pops. It was pretty popular locally, so they did a re-brew.

I’m a little bit confused. Yes this is a west coast thread only. I was at Trader Joe’s yesterday and happen to grab Pizza Ports latest can release. Ocean Air not realizing this is a hazy. Yes I knew PP was going to release a hazy in cans. But forgot. Y’all hazy heads out there. This one ain’t worth it. Maybe 1 can just to try it? Weak hazy IMO. I think they have a new west coast in cans out there.

@dcgunman agreed, PP latest haze was sub par; however the brand new as of a week ago west coasty they have called Summer Oasis is fantastic, picked up another 6pk yesterday.

I'm having a pint of it now. Can confirm it is a tasty IPA, and I'm happy that a keg found its way up here to a taproom near my house.

Slice - Holy Trifecta WC IPA. Another great bright clear beer. Pretty crushable on a hot day. Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Citra, and Simcoe hops.

During a short trip to SD last week I had a couple fresh pints of Aurora Hoppyalis, and man...I'd forgotten how good it is when fresh. Overlooked/underrated because it's so widely available. It stood up to my favorite from down there, Pupil.

Anyone know if Karl Strauss is dating their boxes yet?

What's the word on McIlhenny Muntz? How does it compare with OG nelson?

Closer to a new school hazy than OG Nelson for my taste. I enjoyed some of their classic west coast’s more than Muntz on my visit to the brewery recently

I've had it three times and loved it all three, but one of them, out of a crowler maybe 6 months ago, it tasted as close to identical to my memory of OG Nelson as I think I'll ever get.

Liquid Gravity from San Luis Obispo. Flippin Out DDH WC IPA. Great summer beer. Crisp and Hoppy on a hot day in the Valley. They are getting distro to Sac and Roseville now. Citra and Mosaic hops.

Had this Saturday at the source. I thought it was good enough. But my palate was pretty much gone after TDNE.

Kern’s latest California Lounge Chair is excellent. Found at Total Wine. And yes on the shelf. Took a chance today on it as the date in the can is 06-09-22. Not bad. Let it chill overnight and opened can 1 now. It’s warm here. CLC is perfect in the mild heat. 6.6.

I got to agree. Pretty good IPA for the $ cost. 6 pack at TJs. Hoppy and Crisp when it is 100 degrees outside this week.
