Yellow Rose IPA - Lone Pint Brewery

 

Nice day here south of Asheville with temps in the low 70's and a threat of rain in the air.
Round 1 today is a nice lager from Aslin, weighing in a 4.0 abv. Very flavorful with a white cracker base and black pepper hop on the back end.

Got up early so I could slowly torture the a few of the worms I bought yesterday, not much luck with that.....I did get the hedges trimmed and one car washed, celebrating all my hard work with Around the Bends Proximal RBA Barleywine style ale....tasty for sure.....

Onto round 2, picked up a sixer at SNBC Mills River. Nice bready malt base; very well balanced with a light touch of sweetness. Nice beer that is reasonably priced!
Caught a Foo song on SXM that i always liked just now.

Bit of a weird weather day - rain early - then cleared some, then some heavy rain this afternoon again! Can't quite make up it's mind.....but this beer works for me for now!

 

Hmmm, FH Head Hunter is a "winter beer"? Not around these parts of NE Ohio-land - it is a year round enjoyable brew!
And that Chrissie Hynde song, is about MY city (Akron) - she left it years ago!

 

Guayabera on this 91 feels like 98 degree day, oh, and the pool temp is 93.....

 

Mrs. Z and our house keeper spent the day doing god knows what inside (I’m sure it was worthwhile)… my meager contribution is our sprinklers now run great and I’ve fixed lots of the wife’s planting/positioning missteps…I’m out of the shower feeling clean with an Aleve on my tongue and a Deth’s Tar in my well abused coffee mug:



Canned 10/4/21. Poured at 56°. This is some amazing shah @ChicagoJ !! I bought a couple to age, but this imp stout (14.8%) is drinking so fine it could be a pounder and not last in my chiller! Glad I opted for an Aleve and nothing stronger as this beer has Do Not Operate Heavy Machinery written all over it…Dogs get fed at 6 so I can relax for an hour…Taco Tuesday at 7 - come on over BAs, I’ve got plenty and there’s always cold beer - Cheers!

 

Other Half x Fidens Broccoli's Axe DIPA. So far, as close as I've gotten to trying Fidens. Excellent, but I wish I knew which brewer contributed "more" to its excellence. Someday, pure Fidens will be mine!

 

This beer is getting a little long in the tooth so I need to finish them off.

Taco Tuesday ... Yeah!! I have a feeling you are going to be swamped with BAs.

 

The best IPA in Texas, imo. Can’t wait to visit cousins in Houston and drink this beer. Cheers!
