Got home from work early, having a beer while working on dinner.

And Margret Thatcher Naked on a Cold Day, yeah its a pretty great English Bitter, even it they don't do cask anymore.



Then went over to Julep, a wonderful cocktail bar that just won the James Beard Award and was named one of the 50 best bars in America. I mean, I have been coming here since the beginning, and now you can't find a seat unless you come right at opening ha, but oh well.

This is Rye Whiskey, Amaro, Brandy, lemon and bitters. Yeah its pretty great



Maybe have another beer at home with some music...

 

Barley Creek King Phillip's English Pale Ale.
Not bad, but the additions of Capa & Styrian Aurora hops are to me, throwing it off to lean towards a more American tasting Pale Ale.
Not quite the British hop profile I was hoping for.

This is my last pint of this excellent imperial stout, it is 15 months old, and it’s still delicious - Almond Joy indeed. The cocoa nibs and vanilla stand out, with a bit of coconut, and the booze (12.5% ABV) is creeping forward. Absolutely love it.

 

Monday is about to escalate with this one.

 

What do you think? Personally, I wasn’t a fan. Drank one and traded the other when it dropped the first time. Same with the recent Incredible Machine release

 

Neon Beer Hug IPA.... about to fire up some leftover pizza for supper.....

Hard to read the fine print in my old age. Oops.
No wonder I never heard of them.
Anyone else have a hard time with the fine print on some beer labels?
And I'm still sober-ish.

 

The camera kept wanting to focus on the ocean and not the beer. Can’t say I blame it.
