A third and final rolling rock. And the icing on the cake was the dude on the block of Delaware Ave and South Street. Who wanted to throw hands with a dude who pulled out a whole machete and the dude STILL managed to get a couple shots in unphased. U sir are a real one. I swear. You can't make this up. The fiends come out at night. I love Philadelphia

Nice 88 degrees with little humidity so the yard was mowed, weed eated and blown, Two Hearted....

Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

1) Bohemia Clásica (4.7%): A Czech-style Pils from 1905 from Mexico with flavors of pale and lightly buttered biscuit malts. Smooth and soft.
versus
2) Pilsner Urquell (4.4%): The true Czech Pils from 1842 that has buttery and salty flavors of diacetyl atop the bread malt.

3) Fulton Moon Howler IPA (6.5%): A hazy IPA from Minnesota with flavors of orange, pineapple, mango haze mixed with a resinous malt body for a smooth, sweeter finish.
versus
4) Revolution Hazy Hero IPA (7.3%): A hazy IPA from Chicago with flavors of citrus rind, pineapple, and some dank berry notes. Clean.
(mismatched these two blind)

Winners:

2) Pilsner Urquell: Hard to argue with the gold-standard Czech pilsner. Classic buttery and bready flavors that you'd expect. Nobody can quite replicate it.

3) Fulton Moon Howler IPA: This one surprised me for being older. Tropical, but also resinous and dank notes and a darker malt body. East Cost juice mixes with the maltier Midwest IPA without any of the bitter West-Coast attributes.

Wolfe’s neck was delicious. Their beers are so clean it’s ridiculous. Also had an outstanding Pils, Prince Percy. One of the better Pils I’ve ever had.

 

Maine Beer Second Dinner

 

I have this local liquor store right by my house, really cool guys, that orders victory prima pilz just for me and it's awesome because that means I am always able to get this beer super fresh, under month old.

In other stores this beer is a shelf turd.

Anyways, Chees!

 

I have not seen Prince Percy in Richmond but if I do I will buy a bottle.
