Howdy Advocates,

Back from the Leadville 100 run camp, had a great time. Thought I'd share a few shots of the adventure (night 1 burrito ham shot after a half-marathon from Mayqueen into Leadville, day 2 final trot into Twin Lakes after a full marathon distance on Saturday, and a day 3 Sunday shot from the top of Hope Pass looking south. Sadly, hail moved in with rain and high wind so we got all four seasons on that last run. Some people only got over once down to Winfield ('bout 10 miles, and I decided I needed more climbing so I turned around and did another 3 miles, so a double hope pass half-marathon distance with 4800 feet of vert. A fun time).

There were about 125 summer camp runners, folks from all different walks of life, really enjoyable and a good way to re-socialize my largely anti-social running since 2020.

Meanwhile I'm destroying this Outer Range Blocks of Light IPA, one of my absolute faves from them at 6.2%.

Macca rocking the house at 80 yrs old along with David Grohl - Macca still got it, his voice isn't as strong as it used to be, but that's kind of expected at his age. The Jazzmaster in the first half sounds killer.

Brewing Projekt Cowabunga Pineapple/Sea Salt/Tea Gose, 5.4% ABV. Pours hazy orange with a half-finger white head that left slight lacing. Nose is pineapple and fruit tea. Taste follows, moderately sweet, barely tart, salt on the close. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent. I was concerned about the tea, but it works.
