What beer are you drinking now? #3563

My poor Centennial is totally stressed out and now loosing its leaves like there's no tomorrow, thanks to the Japanese Beatles and those @#$% Lantern Flies. The cones were way earlier than normal this year, it's almost like it knew in advance it was going to be under siege again from these Asian pests. Was out this AM doing some cleanup with some straggling cones before they get chewed up. 'Very frustrating to see my plants so stressed out, it was full and lush from top to bottom.

Thats pretty damn cool. I have never been the biggest fan of his music, but always respected him, as he always seem a pretty cool guy, and certainly an accomplished player even if its not my style. Plus his cameos in King of the Hill shows humor that you just have to love

 

In search of refreshment on this HOT day. This will do.

 

Those damn Japanese Beatles. I remember working for the landscape/lawn mowing department at my local park district every summer growing up. Those things were everywhere. If I just barely brushed up against a branch, those things just covered me ugh.

Good morning BAs! Another cool rainy day here on the north side of the island. Today’s new to me breakfast beer is “Detective Stout #4” by Broken Boundary Brewing, Honolulu, HI. The brewer does not reveal the ingredients (the detective part) and invites imbibers to post their guesses on the brewery’s Instagram account. Not for me, but a clever social media ploy nonetheless:
