    I have to agree with you my friend. Looks way better than my late night snacks.

    Other than leftovers (in which my wife gets pissed when I eat it for a late night snack) my snacks in the wee hours are potato chips, corn chips and salsa, and/or any cookies I can get my hands on. I forgot the M&M pieces.

    I'm now splitting a Fosters oil can with my wife. There was talk the other day as to if these were still available. Yes, our Publix has blue and green oil cans, no idea the difference. They are usually 3 for $5 and it's not a bad change of taste......

    Central Waters Brewer's Reserve 7 Layer Stout, 12% ABV. Wow, has this degraded in the 5+ months since I got it. When I reviewed it in February I said it was quite sweet, but that's been replaced by funkiness. This beer is headed south, no joy here, think I'll dump it.

    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Fine, reddish copper body, lively carbonation with a bit of haze inducing sediment; thick head, semi-creamy. Subtle aroma; rich malt with a touch of fruity, spicy rye elements. Fine malt flavor; spicy; hint of brown sugar; mild to moderate bitterness. Heavy body; somewhat creamy texture; hint of dryness cutting through the residual sugar body.

    The beer is past its recommend 'enjoy by' date yet still has a nice, malt and spice character one would expect from this beer.

    The heat & the aggregation of being called in into the office for 5 minute meeting that could so easily have been a teams meeting or a phone call or even just an email
    Tension headache, thankfully someone tould tge belt fed mortar crew to stop ten minutes ago
    But this is beer 4995 tomorrow will hit the big 5000

    Sorry to hear this. I have a few stouts from three different breweries which are getting old. I have kept them all in a cool place but worry I may have waited too long (not months but years). When the weather gets much cooler I will open them and find out.

    Anybody watch The Bear on Hulu? Well a great bar/restaurant made their version of a Chicago Italian Beef, as they use to work in Chicago Beef Sandwich shops (really rare in Houston ha). Brings me back a little...this is excellent. At Better Luck Tomorrow, with a Yellow Rose.
