Easy drinking, fairly traditional NW-style amber. Review here (3.99).

White Elm Single Barrel Blanton's Imperial Stout (barrel from Louise Hy-Vee Sioux Falls), 13% ABV. White Elm teams up with regional liquor stores who provide the barrels. This variant, aged in a Blanton's barrel, is the best I've had.

Happy hump day. Been working and sleeping mostly. Me and Julia still dead after the 3 hour hike in asheville. My legs are just now feeling normal. Work is going fun enough. Started the terminal experiment by Robert j sawyer today and it's awesome. Need to find more of his books.

We've been meaning to come here for 2 days but I've been too tired  Sam Adam's Boston lager is an awesome Vienna as usual.

You gave it a "4.0" overall, that's a pretty solid score for "just O.K." :innocent:

Thirsty Dog Mango Wheat Ale. This one is not my jam, but the fresh corn was again great as was chicken, onions and mushrooms. Maybe a stout later…. Cheers!

Had a FaceTime session with granddaughter last night. She said “poppy” (her nickname for me) I am having pancakes for dinner and I am dipping it in syrup. Maple syrup I asked. She responded “no, syrup”! I was corrected apparently. Well anyway, that is my pancake story.

This hits home for me for a number of reasons. One being my brother was a K-9 officer in Waltham, Ma. along with his partner Baron. Me and my kids got to hang with Baron a lot, my daughter used to ride on his back. My mother used to feed him toast and jam, my brother would get pissed. Baron had quite a list of assists with arrests and he found a lost person. Baron got a heart ailment and had to retire. When the time came to end Baron’s suffering my brother was inconsolable. It’s been years and he still gets shook up when you talk about it. They were inseparable and had a bond that you can’t describe.
Nero’s law hits close to home too because that happened near where I live. Officer Sean M. Gannon and Nero from the Yarmouth PD answered a call and some dirt bag shot them both in an attic he was hiding in. Unfortunately Officer Gannon didn’t make it and the EMTs wouldn’t take Nero to the hospital because he was an animal. Sad, Nero made it because of the resolve of his fellow officers.
Cheers to Officer Gannon, word is he was the salt of the earth and to Frankie and Baron.

Good looking sauce and the Band. I have a habit of listening to at least 1 Band song every day.
