What beer are you drinking now? #3570

The good news is my rehab has not slowed anyone else down around here!

 

A tiny beautiful something. An IPA brewed by Maine Beer Company.

Looks like it is going to be a BBAC (beer, bourbon, Advil and CBD) night. The old legs are not playing nice. I guess they are unhappy with me for mowing the lawn.

 

Pretty good lookin' beer there. At some point, WHEN the good folks at Hop Butcher open up on Lincoln, we need to get multiple Chicagoland BAs there for a good ol fashioned new house-warming evening there, and maybe some migration over to Dovetail nearby after (or before). What say you? I am overdue a Chicago visit.

This is one of the best Pale Ales I have ever had. They need to start distro this outside of Maui for real.

Great lakes conways irish ale

 

I was happy to see this one at the local Liquor store earlier this week. This Oktoberfest is refreshing and quaffable for any time of the year.

 

I put a smaller television on my west-facing porch to get ready to watch WWE SummerSlam. It is quite sunny today, so I could not see anything, and the television quickly turned hotter than @DavetotheB's grill. I changed the plan to just watching it through my front window.

 

Haven't tried that one but was also impressed by the ones I've had.

Half Acre/Hop Butcher IPA Your Way (Citra Spectrum, Citra pellets, Simcoe, Cashmere, HBC 586). This is Half Acre's version. Anything HA does with hops I'm going to enjoy, but this one is even more impressive than anticipated. Ripe, zesty tangerine, orange peel, fresh ruby red grapefruit, kiwi, pine resin to name a few. @eppCOS Keep an eye out for this one. I'm almost positive it's been distributed out your way.

Probably late October/early Nov would be my best and realistic first available window to junkernaut (new word) my way there. Foothills thousand smiles. Great blonde ale. Aromas and flavors of lemon, pear, cracker, bread, peppercorn, pine, wood, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earth. Light med pine/woody/spicy bitter finish. Medium plus carb and light body. Crisp clean refreshing finishing. Balanced grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Slight lingering resin dryness. No astringency. Zero warming 4.4%. Spot on style, tastes very similar to their helles but as an ale with less abv and hop bite. No complaints. 4


The apps at the pub are bomb. Fried pickles, big pretzel with cheese and cinnamon butter, and loaded tots.
