A friend of mine suggested this and I am pleasantly surprised.

I like it - this one's actually a 2011 so a year old- for its price and availability around the MD area its a nice one to have in the rotation, very drinkable for 8.9% (comes in 6 packs). There's prob a slew of coffee imp stouts that are better - FBS and Big Bad Baptist come to mind, but it's always fun to tick another!

    Cheers!

Every time I read Baladin, I think of Paladin. Baladin, Baladin, where will you roam..hopefully, to Casper some day:

Only the elder statespersons will get it.

Also, I am thinking really deep here but you do think that Three Floyds is better than Baladin?

Before you answer let me say this knowledge: back in the heyday and birth of Three Floyds, there were those
courageous enough to believe in this brewery. But now you see, me, Giovanni Caffarella, believing in this brewery. Le Baladin, which will be put down, shitted on, and forgotten in many peoples mind. Mark my words that La Baladin will be known around the world for being bold enough to stand out and pardon me, fucking be brave to fight the stereotypes! Do you see the irony in this, dear Hug?

First time trying this one, and yeah I know there's lots of GI hate out there now, but this was an excellent beer and one I'd definitely try again.

Enjoying Quakerbridge, an American Barleywine from Half Acre (formerly Marty Stouffer's Wild America) while waiting for the snow. Really tasty, just what I needed tonight.

Huh? .... I have no idea what you're talking about. No one shit on baladin...

You were saying your baladin glass is better. I live near Three Floyds, so I'm going to say Three Floyds is better...

Was super excited to try this... Turned out to be a disgusting sour mess. My first drain pour.

So you're being brave and fighting the stereotypes by being an Italian who thinks everything from Italy is pure gold and somehow better then products from other countries? No stereotype there. Nope. Not-a-one

My lineup for what might be our last day on earth.

    Going to try this first:

    Then this:

    Then going to pull this 2011 Big John from the cellar;

And what could be my last beer on Earth, what better than this?

Ah yes, sorry, Hug, I went to far. I had a deep conversation with my dad so my mentality carried through.
What makes the Three Floyd glass better is that sharp looking ring and the very slick design on the glass.

Like that Hardywood glass! I still gotta make it down there. Tried their beer at Savor in DC this year and really enjoyed it.
