@ChicagoJ thanks for posting that REM performance.i love the early stuff, and i think that was the first time they played "So. Central Rain" live .
When I was at law school in Athens, a friend who knows their manager got me in a "secret gig" where they played that and "Begin the Begin."

 

Pleasant surprise at Jinya Ramen Bar in Alpharetta.

 

Was in the mood for a stout, so decided to go with one I really wish was brewed again (but not holding my breath). Lagunitas Willettized '20 Coffee Stout aged in Rye Barrels. This is drinking extremely well 21 months in. The coffee presence is still there and hasn't turned acrid or green pepper. Also getting roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, chocolate chip brownie, brown sugar. The barrel presence is still there, bringing charred oak tannin, plenty of vanilla, and rye spice. Age has smoothed this one out, but still leaves plenty of complexity. Bourbon County Coffee-esque. I believe I grabbed a 4 pack of this for $14 or $15. Glad I still have a bottle left!

 

A combo of a hop I really like (Riwaka) with a hop I hate (Enigma). That said, this was solid. Notes of raspberry, white wine,& sweet citrus. Good balance of earthy, pithy hop tones. A good pale, and a nice way to round out the set!

 

Another day, another hazy/juicy/NEIPA......ho hum.....

 

Finishing off the 6er of this, I’ve really enjoyed this series, and this iteration is no exception. Lagunitas knows their way around hops, so I’m looking forward to #6 and what they have in store for us beer nerds.

Seriously this is bad. Everything is dying and I had to pay for my pool to be topped off....But this is my Oasis...
Abomination Brewing. Good beer.
Semi Thick and hazy. Fruity and slightly bitter. Typical NE Hazy.
Quality here though. I like almost every style, adventurous because you only live once. That said WC and VT and ME IPAs have been my COP lately.
